Pros:

Quick and efficient checkin even though we arrived late.

Cons:

Bulb in the ceiling light fixture was burned out so it was dark in the room. It didn’t really bother us as we arrived late and we’re going to bed.

Lit confortable et propre

Dans la description, il est indiqué « vue sur la ville », alors que nous avions plutôt une vue sur une maison qui semblait abandonnée.

L’entrée pour effectuer l’enregistrement en soirée est très mal organisée. Tout était fermé et rien n’indiquait qu’il fallait sonner pour pouvoir entrer.

Nous ne pouvions pas entrer et sortir librement, puisque nous devions sonner chaque fois, ce qui nous donnait l’impression de déranger le personnel.

Notre chambre était située au sous-sol. Nous entendions les gens marcher très fort à l’étage ainsi que de la musique jusqu’à 1 h 45 du matin, ce qui a nui à notre sommeil.

Finalement, nous sommes arrivés avec 15 minutes de retard. Dans le message reçu par la messagerie, il était indiqué que des frais de 15 $ plus taxes s’appliqueraient. Cependant, une fois sur place, les frais étaient passés à 30 $, sans explication.


The listing advertised a “city view,” but our room overlooked what appeared to be an abandoned house.

Finding the entrance for check-in in the evening was very confusing. Everything was closed, and there were no signs indicating that we had to ring the bell to get inside.

We couldn’t come and go freely because we had to ring the bell every time we wanted to enter, which made us feel like we were disturbing the staff.

Our room was located in the basement. We could clearly hear people walking heavily upstairs, and there was loud music until 1:45 a.m., making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Finally, we arrived 15 minutes late. In the message we received, it stated that the late check-in fee would be $15 plus tax. However, when we arrived, we were charged $30 instead, with no explanation.

An affordable, friendly place to stay!
Pros:

This motel serves an area that is short on accommodation, so it is very much appreciated! The staff is always friendly, quick to respond and helpful. The price is reasonable as well.

Cons:

The bar and restaurant are in the process of being renovated, but we did not see any indication of that when booking. Our rooms have always been clean, but the building itself needs some TLC. Hopefully, with lots of loyal customers, the business will be able to renovate and stay in business for many years to come.

Pros:

Really nice person at check in. Close to our location.

Cons:

Heating unit was VERY loud with a bad bearing. Screetching sound when heater went on made it very difficult to sleep. Mattress quality was not very good, and we were given twin beds when we booked queen. Stuff happens and I'm not a picky traveller, but the heater really should not have been in service given the noise levels.
