Everything was very nice.
Just no activities, gym, or snacks. It was more like a service apartment than a hotel.

Douche bouchée le premier jour donc petite inondation dans la salle de bain à laquelle ils ont remédié très vite.
Parking was great. Rooms are large.
The location was great, especially if you're visiting UCLA or spending time around the area. The room was clean and you could really feel the attention to detail in the design.
What stood out most was that the room felt unique and had its own character and personality. It felt almost like staying in a place with its own soul, rather than in a typical large hotel chain where rooms often feel the same no matter where you are in the world.
One area that could be improved is the fitness space.
The rooftop itself has an incredible view and has the potential to be a really special amenity.
There are a few pieces of equipment there, such as treadmills and dumbbells, but they felt quite outdated and weren't very practical to use.
A small, well equipped gym, especially if kept on the rooftop, would make the experience even better and would fit very well with the hotel's unique atmosphere.
I have stayed at Plaza la Reina on numerous occasions during visits to UCLA, and I am never disappointed in the quality of the stay. Given the cost of lodging in Westwood in general (unless you need a pool) -- you are getting extremely gracious accommodations for the price, with none of those added resort fees. You have a kitchenette if you must, but there are so many great restaurants in walking distance. Note: You can either pay to park in their garage, or there is metered street parking.

Bathroom was super small . Shower and toilet were broken. Left 1 small tube of body wash.. never added on day2… I didn’t have time to call them.
Never mentioned that the only way room was accessible was via stairs

We had a very pleasant and extended stay at Plaza La Reina in Los Angeles, where we spent 18 nights while looking after our two sisters-in-law who were hospitalized as a result of a horrific car accident. The location was ideal for our needs—quiet, safe, and yet extremely convenient. Within a short walking distance, we found essential facilities like Trader Joe’s, Target, and a variety of restaurants, which made daily errands and meals effortless.
One of the main reasons for our visit was to see our two sisters-in-law, and the hotel’s proximity to Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital and the California Rehabilitation Institute was incredibly helpful. Being so close allowed us to visit them daily without long commutes, which made a meaningful difference during our stay.
The service was another highlight. Receptionists Hina, Helen, and Nadia were consistently professional, attentive, and warm-hearted, always ready to assist with any request. Their kindness truly made us feel welcome. In addition, the janitorial staff did an excellent job keeping our room clean, tidy, and comfortable throughout our stay.
The hotel is also conveniently located about 45 minutes from LAX, making travel easy. Overall, Plaza La Reina offers a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and thoughtful service—we would gladly stay here again.
