Stayed one night in March 2022. Booked a taxi to the airport. At checking out, was asked to pay for the taxi plus room rent. While paying, must have left my phone on the desk. Tipped the receptionist and started to load the taxi. On the way to the airport after 5 minutes realised I didn't have my phone. Turned around head back to the hotel. In the meantime I tried ringing my number from my wife's phone. But it said the phone was switched off!!! Brilliant!! Whoever took the phone knew what to do. The staff at the hotel was not helpful and kept denying I must have left it somewhere else. What a JOKE??? I knew I had the phone when I came to pay the bill. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. TERRIBLE HOTEL. NOT TRUSTWORTHY
Eurolanka has a pretty comfortable bed and friendly staff who tried to help. Although they've charged be 130$ instead of 100$ (they were multiplying dollars onto black market currency, while I expected to be with the official rate). And then they tried to make up for extra costs by providing 2 breakfasts. The food was tasty, but lots of ants ran around the food. The shower only had pressure regulation, but no temperature control, so it was coldish.
I arrived in Colombo 25th morning and had already booked a hotel via booking.com. However the hotel turned out to be far worse than it looked in the pictures and having my family and mother with me i decided to move to another hotel. Now since it was Christmas, i couldn't get an available room for my family and based on my taxi driver's recommendation we stopped at the Euro Lanka hotel. A gentleman around the age of 50 Plus was at the reception and his overall attitude was very surly. First he charged us double of what it was available on booking.com for and that too without breakfast, with the premise that its Christmas and "we're full". Secondly he charged us an extra 3% for paying via credit card. You've heard of "service with a smile", well this was definitely "service with a scowl"!
The rooms were just ok, one of them the A/c wasn't working and i had to switch rooms. An ant invasion in one of the rooms also! At night i asked for bottled water and the reception replied with our policy is only to give 2 bottles per day! Imagine my surprise... clean sheets, available towels, more than two bottles of water, an electronic kettle with free tea and coffee sachets is the bare minimum i expect, when i'm paying USD 55 (without breakfast) per room!
Overall staff and management needs to be taught basic etiquette.
Luckily i was staying only for a night. The only thing working for the hotel is its a beachfront property.
The location - excellent. Quite good restaurant on the ground floor. There is another one on the 8th floor, but you have to climb the stairs from the 6th.View from the bar at the top.For one night okey, friendly people. Food in Restaurand we can recommend, was very delicious
Lobby area and rest room at lobby are clean, however guest room smells bad n walls got fungus , pillows are very hard to sleep, after a sleep my neck got pain, complained to reception, they did change the pillow,
And after checkout while i am on my way to airport i got a calk from hotel saying that i never paid for my last night, i was really pissed off, cos i settle my bill one day in advance, however the person at reception could not able to give a invoice to me, saying tomorrow i will give the bill, this makes me that i dont feel good to tay again at this hotel, and they never call me back after checking,

Very friendly and helpful staff, this hotel is great value. We had a meal on New year's Eve and it was great. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will come back again. The location is good as well for most amenities.
This is my 2nd visit to Hotel euro lanka, management&staff are very friendly, room is very clean, Maldivian breakfast is delicious.
Specifically Ms.Sandiya & Mr.Kennedy are very helpful.Feels like home
A value for money hotel in a nice location - beach facing among many hotels in the same road. Rooms are nice. We have shifted from the earlier hotel which we used to stay in the same location. For tourists it is a place they can consider staying and it is new
Hotel is situated in a good location. It is a multi storied building. The name of hotel displayed on top of building with a large blue neon sign. The reception area and tha lounge looks clean and nice. Impressive, but the rooms are tatty, with poor maintenance. It had no safe, no place to hang clothes, no WiFi, no phone, no bedside table. The paint on the walls very pealing, The ceiling had a large stain. The bathroom was small with toilet, sink and shower close to each other. When you have a shower the toilet gets wet. It did not have hot water, nowhere to place toiletries. The toilet bowel seat comes off the hinge and the bathroom was not clean. Not worth the money you pay and will never book the place again. I had to book a different hotel and move out the next day.
Didn’t have any problems with cockroaches or other unwanted bugs in the room however the rooms could have been cleaner. Only stayed here for two nights so it was bearable. The staff was very friendly and was willing to help make our stay more comfortable.
The rooms are small very small. Location is excellent for hotel. If price is 3000LKR it's ok anything more is not worth for small room.

I stay one night here this is not wort for money they charged LKR 8000 per room only and we ordered food from there restaurant food also terrible portion is enough for two but it’s not with what they said on the menu, and the worst and dangerous part of the hotel is electricity they didn’t finished their wiring and bulb fixing because of that current wires are sparking with sea wind. Not recommending this hotel at all .. here have some photos for your reference
It was a 3 star hotel with basic accommodations. The hotel was helpful in giving us one room for all 4 family members, which we appreciated us all being together. We had booked a previous airbnb and it was a dump so we walked around and came into the reception and asked to see the room. The manager was very helpful and let us see the room before booking it. It was 10 pm and we really needed a place tro stay.
We stayed at Hotel Eurolanka for three days from 17th to 19th July and again for a day on the 30th. The property faces the sea and is excellently located. Transportation both to and from the hotel is easily available.
The rooms we stayed in were smallish with a tiny balconies and en suite showers/toilets. Both the rooms and toilet were very clean. But perhaps the finest part of the hotel was its friendly staff who were always ready to help. Whether it was some advice we needed or cars to the railway station at the crack of dawn or to the airport later in the morning, there was always someone to get it done. And there was always a pleasant greeting whenever we were seen.
When i went there was no Roof Terrace/bar/club, it seems to be a work in progress! . No Social scene, nor is it ideal for single travellers. The room was outdated and I couldn't shut the Bathroom window as it had no handle. This allowed sounds from the busy road and trains to enter the room which added to lots of doors banging during the evening/night time on different levels as the internal design of the hotel structure allows sounds to travel and bounce and enter your room, so if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs! Room decor was not what you would expect for the price you pay. Sorry to say i wont be returning as the Atmosphere and vibe didn't feel good & staff didn't help!!. Better to stay in hostel, certainly will have a better sleep!
Great location and value. Rooms are spacious and clean with very good showers. Staff are very friendly and keep the rooms and common areas very clean. This is my sixth visit to Sri Lanka, and the Eurolanka is the best hotel that I have stayed in so far. Great hotel which I recommend.
A modern, comfortable hotel that is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Excellent location in the heart of Colombo for shopping, dining and accessing other parts of the city.
