Amazing location, beautiful hotel
Pros:

Great service. They really looked after us.

Cons:

The "cheap" rooms are not cheap, but neither are they terribly special. Nice, premium? Sure. But not special and no view out for our room... one window looked directly into another room. The other just looked into rooftops.

Tbh, I felt a little let down. The hotel itself was a delight. The service was great (if a little rustic in places, in a nice way) but the room itself didn't quite live up to the rest of the package.

Lords of The Manor - A magical place where one feels cosseted and totally relaxed.
Pros:

The property is magnificent and perfectly maintained and its location in picturesque, yet quiet Upper Slaughter, was perfect. The wild flower garden and the extensive, well-kept grounds were sublime.
The rooms were very spacious, aesthetically and thoughtfully furnished and immaculate. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and meticulously efficient and the fare in the restaurants was excellent. I enjoyed a lovely and tranquil holiday, in exquisite surroundings. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Exceeded my expectations delivering on all aspects of a five star hotel.
Pros:

Service was exceptional and the Hotel, while old, is nicely updated keeping the charm and losing the inconveniences of a centuries old property. The food was also one of our best meals in England rivaling Michelin starred restaurants.
