Nice and surprisingly quiet but...
Pros:

The staff is very friendly but a bit too laid back despite the fact that the hotel is in Goa. They won't necessarily be around for you to cook (paid in advance) breakfast at nine AM. :-)
Rooms need serious cleaning because they attract cockroaches. You don't get clean sheets and towels without asking and even then they are seldom truely clean. And please, don't get this wrong; we've been around and fully understand that in Goa it's all different. Anyway Shantie is not a budget hotel, so you would expect more.
The location in Vagator is perfect and the small pool is well maintained and clean. They definitely should approach their (only) six rooms with at least same enthusiasm.
One odd thing in ALL hotels in India I've stayed during my eight trips around is that the obligatory air-con machine is ALWAYS placed so that it blows the well needed cold air straight to the bed so you'll catch cold in no time.

Perfect place away from the noise

2nd visit took our family & friends
Pros:

Second time of staying here. So very tranquil, owners are wonderful and the food is tasty. Definitely recommend to stay here. We will be back!
