Only booked due to wedding reception being held there. Not what Ibooked at all as far as room goes
Pros:

We were there for a wedding so was the reason we booked.

Cons:

I booked a room with 2 beds and a pull out. We got 1 bed and a pull out. They said no rooms exist. Very frustrating as we had 6 for our room and was able to book with only 2 beds. Multiple people had same issues not getting the room they booked.

Quality of location has gone down from previous stays

We had loud noises all night from above us, the hot tub was not functioning, and the time breakfast was available was later than normal. The cost of the room was rather high priced as well.

Low budget experience at a medium level price just doesn't add up
Pros:

I arrived at the hotel around 8:30 PM on 5/3/26. There was no one at the front desk. I was dismayed to see my reservation confirmation form on the front desk counter with the keys and room number listed for anyone to see. I feel this is a serious breach of my security.

When I got to the room, the TV did not work. I tried the normal troubleshooting steps before returning to the front desk to inquire. There was still no one at the friont desk, so I followed the instructions to dial 0 on the telephone on the counter. No one answered so I left a voice message, No one ever got back to me.

When I checked out, I placed my room key in the basket on the counter. Anyone could have come into the hotel, grabbed the keys, and use my room. This is a shoddy operation.

Great Location, plenty of parking, spacious lobby, pool and eating area. overall very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of hot water, received very good service at check in, I was traveling alone checked in around 1:Sleepy e30 am no reservation,

Don’t stop here, no elevator in bldg

The hot tub was down and apparently has been for 3 months?

There were no towels in the pool area, so we needed to go to the front desk for towels.

The vending machine was out of water..

Cons:

Scary people harassing my family at pool then followed us to the room and manager did nothing. We left 8pm with no resolution. I will be calling owner city of Sleepy Eye first thing Monday. If it's a homeless shelter this should be told to us the paying customers. And it's not cheap lost 200 for leaving early
For shame!!!! Hot tub never works and pool is NEVER heated . My family stays here 4 times a year for past 5 years. Never again!!!

Nice place
Pros:

Clean place, quiet, breakfast had more options than I expected that was nice. Lady at front desk recommended Carls Corner for the broasted chicken, excellent choice.

Trouble in SleepyEye
Pros:

If you send a cc authorization, it would be best to talk to a person and have them process it that way. I was not allowed to carry out my two night stay due to the hotel not receiving the cc authorization from my employer. I live 4 hours from this location, it was an incredibly stressful situation.

The room was clean and the bath was as well. A/C -heat worked. Bed was OK but not overly comfortable. The pillows were bad. Too small and very lumpy or too soft.

Pros:

We booked a weekend trip here for a family wedding nearby and booked an extra night because of the pool for the kids and hot tub for adults. Before we arrived another family member got there before us and said the pool and hot tub were not working and the hotel was a complete dump and it smelled awful and had stained bedding. They immediately checked out. We called to cancel our reservation since we only booked for the amenities which were not available and the lady was very short and said she would cancel our reservation and hung up on me. A month later with multiple phone calls and no refund we were finally told that we would only be partially refunded even though we never went since we were told we could cancel.

Very nice stay
Pros:

Very nice and clean.
Only complaint would be that the pool closes too early on a weekend. 10 pm is too early. Beds were very comfortable
