Everything is perfect. Vanessa goes out of her way to provide anything you want. Teapot, mini bbq, extra towels etc. We travel to CT so that we can stay at Kernow

This place is a good reason to visit Charters Towers, just to e joy the pleasant surroundings, the welcome drink by the pool, all those little extras that make you feel special. Met at the gate and shown to your room. No kids thundering down the deck at 6.30am. Lovely private outside seating area

The Kernow Charters Towers is a wonderful place to stay.
We stayed there Saturday night 21 June 2025. Arrived earlier than expected and Les, an Owner, accommodated us. Great place for either short stay or long stay. Rooms are big, the complex is first class.
Our third stay here and we will be back.

Just an amazing place to stay. The owners are very friendly and passionate about what they are doing; they genuinely care that you have a good time. The apartments were extremely clean, neat & stocked with amenities able to be used free of charge. Food for breakfast was already provided upon arrival & ready to be made for the next morning using room facilities (bread, yoghurt, cereal, juice, milk). The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Extremely comfortable beds and each room has air conditioning & fans. Extra blankets are already provided if needed in a cupboard. TV’s in every room with Netflix able to be used free of charge. Everything is well-planned and everything you could need is at your disposal. The resort is safe, quiet and calm and offers many things to do for no extra charge (tennis, 24/7 gym with table tennis & pool and ALSO an actual pool with free beverages just outside your room + more to come). The highlight for me was being able to walk through the yet to be renovated old Mossman hall building. It was a beautiful piece of history and so exciting to be able to step into it. Overall, this is the best place to stay in Charters (honestly in Queensland) and well-worth it. Will definitely be returning. Highly highly recommend!!

As always, the uniqueness of the Kernow experience and the friendliness of the staff leads to a very enjoyable stay.
It is a great place to base yourself for a few days to experience everything there is to see in Charters Towers. And there is a lot

I had no real idea when I booked what to expect. The property is being so well transformed into luxury accommodation with the pieces not yet finished making no difference to your stay. The units were spacious, very well appointed and stocked with a nice breakfast as well as everything else you need on your stay. Staying in so many air bnb’s, I felt bad that they came into our apartment and made our bed! Maybe a card you could put out for those of us who don’t need that and would be happy to collect our breakfast each day from Reception.

We arrived later than expected but Les set us at ease with his warm welcome. Once we’d negotiated the front gate and been escorted into the property, our positive first impressions were confirmed by the clean, spacious apartment. We knew immediately Kernow fit the bill perfectly for our Christmas getaway - a launch pad for adventure and fun and a cool, comfortable place to return to for respite and relaxation.

You, like us, must have booked accommodation where you infuriatingly can’t find an ice cube to save your life; and even if there was a knife capable of cutting into a tomato, the only serving bowl is made for cereal? Or perhaps you’ve experienced the frustration of not being able to wash a pan because the only cleaning implement is the size of a postage stamp? Or the ignominy of having to fill the kettle from the shower rose because it won’t fit under the kitchen tap? Let me assure you Kernow is NOT such a place!

Thoughtfully and elegantly appointed, there’s nothing that left us wanting, inside or out. The complex is as vast and intriguing as its history suggests and we enjoyed exploring it, although missed the gymnasium (despite our best intentions)! Les and Vanessa were consummate hosts, unobtrusive yet accessible and amenable. We came for two nights, stayed for four and can’t wait to come back!

Loved the extra activities at the gym such as table tennis and pool. Beautiful swimming pool area with free drinks and wine. Their cleaning services are superb and they made sure we enjoyed our stay. It's my third time staying there and I definitely recommend for getaway trip.

An absolute gem of a place! My husband and I were travelling around QLD and randomly decided to stop in Charters Towers. A few google searches and we came across the Charters Towers apartments. Les booked us in and his welcome was impeccable. He even accommodated us for an additional night at the last minute.

We got a garden view apartment -not only was the apartment spacious but very neat and tidy. A fully fledged kitchen and laundry were available in our apartment.

I would definitely classify it as a 5 star instead of 4 star. He looked after us and ensured the room was topped up with all amenities.

The amazing sunset, the random visits by the cats made the entire experience memorable.

We would definitely come back again! Thank you Les.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have absolutely enjoyed every one of them. Kernow is our go to place for accommodation in Charters Towers. We have made visits to Charters Towers so that we could have a relaxing break at Kernow. Les & Vanessa are the most welcoming & friendly owners of any accommodation we have ever been to. The apartments (and we have tried almost all) are always very clean and comfortable with complementary welcome drinks by the pool & a large range of breakfast needs supplied. The grounds are huge with tennis courts, golf driving range,gym walking trail and more available. situated on the edge of town yet so quiet and relaxing.

Booked online weeks in advance and requested and was granted, a 1-hour early check-in, which was crucial to our stay as we had a 3pm wedding. However just over a week out we find they won't honour the already approved early check, leaving us in an extremely tough situation to find new accommodation on a very busy weekend for Charters Towers, last minute.
There is a serious online booking vs real life disconnect which is not acceptable in 2024. And the fact they would not use any kind of customer service to honour their mistake.
Very disappointed, we were looking forward to staying here.

Our apartment was outstanding and we had everything there we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast and beverages by the pool were included. The rooms were beautifully decorated and all the furnishings were of a very high standard. Les was a friendly and welcoming host who met us at the gate. We loved Charters Towers and would absolutely love to stay at Kernow with Les again soon.

The best apartment style accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are beautifully restored and very well appointed with all the facilities you’d expect and more. Hospitality from owner / manager was first class. Complimentary drinks and continental breakfast was nice touch. Quiet location on edge of town but close to city centre and all the attractions. Would definitely recommend Kernow and hope to return.

Took my sister for her birthday treat and we both enjoyed the weekend away.Les and Vanessa always make sure you receive a warm friendly welcome.Rooms are of a high standard with breakfast provisions included.Cleanliness of the rooms is very good.Overall 10/10.thank you Les and Vanessa cheers Annie Highland
