Friendly people
The room - no place to put the bag/case you travel with. It will help if there is a bench, or something, for your case! I do not want to put my expensive case on the floor. The same with the bathroom - you need a small table/bench to put down your toilet bag or clothing - not on the floor.
The dinner I paid for was really bad - the fillet was not prepared as requested and the onion ring burnt. I was promised a refund that never materialised.

The hotel is centrally located and convenient. The Area is safe and we were able to safely park our car on the street.
The lady at reception was not welcoming. Our rooms were located upstairs with steep steps to climb. We had a heavy bag, and the receptionist just looked at us with no offer to look for someone to assist with the bags. The hotel is generally dusty, and we struggle to sleep peacefully as a result of breathing in the dust.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We had supper at the restaurant at the hotel and it was fantastic. Breakfast was great. Will definitely stat there again.
The aircon in our room tripped the electricity. Close to the room that we stayed there is a motor that goes on and off the whole night.

Overall, our stay at Clanwilliam Hotel was passable, but there were definitely some positives worth mentioning. The staff were absolutely amazing — very friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. The food was also great and one of the highlights of the stay.
The location was excellent and convenient, and the facilities were decent overall.
However, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms could definitely be improved, and for the price paid, it didn’t quite feel like good value for money.
That being said, the excellent service from the staff really stood out and made the experience better.

The parking space is very limited and small.
