Grand Harbour Hotel

We are given a room with 2 TVs, 2 single beds and one king size bed. the room is huge comes with washing machine also. The location is closed to bus stop where enable you to reach to other part of macau. We took bus no1 , or 3 to cross the border to Zhuhai which is a bonus for us. The down side is they don’t provide breakfast.

This hotel is ok if get for a good price. But it wasn't spotless clean and staff not the friendliest but they spoke English. Location not bad can walk around most of the city. Free water is a bonus too. Room was very big

No proper insulation, you can hear the noises in the other rooms. But aside from those it's very clean.

First impressions count. The reception desk staff seemed very uninterested in greeting guests. Perhaps there’s some arrogance because the hotel was full. Anyway once presenting our documents we were informed that a cash deposit of 100 MOP was required. Why? Not sure just hotel policy? Seems a ridiculous amount but ok. The rooms are small and door security flimsy. No safe and what seems modest cleaning. The plastic tumblers in the bath room had previously been used as ashtrays- melted bases! Shower was ok but not really clean. The tiled floor may have been swept some time this year but lots of dust. A non smoking room that smelled of cigarettes. Overall I’ve stayed in many 3 star hotels in Asia but this one one of the worst.

Big room, the tariff is reasonable

Its a very nice hotel for a solo traveller. Its clean, quite a big room, and nice location to go anywhere, non smoking area, and Not too far from Senado Square, and there are some bus stops around there. And dont worry about breakfast, ( i didnt book the room with breakfast ),if u are willing to walk for 10minutes away from the hotel, u will find a very nice breakfast resto, an old one, But niceee.
The only problem is, the receptionist cant really speak english, but i think thats normal.

The rooms are spacious with harbour view. Sufficient room amenities and free Wi-Fi provided with a TPLink connector via lan cable.

Had a minor problem with the hairdryer in the room as was damaged by previous guest. The housekeeping was efficient enough to provide me a new one eventhough it was midnight already.

Deposit of MOP500 cash upon checkin and refundable. No credit card verification for deposit.

Located slightly off the main town area but with a 15 minutes walk could reach Senado Square.

A location with difficulties obtaining a taxi. I waited and tried for almost 20 minutes but failed to get a taxi as it was all occupied when they reached this hotel. I have to walk with my baggage all the way to Sofitel hotel to obtain a taxi which is 15 minutes walk away.

This is a good hotel and it was comfortable to stay here. It was better than my Hong Kong hotel for the same price. The location is not in the center, but Macao is so small that this was not a problem for me. Bus line 3 gets you comfortable to the center and to/from the Ferry Terminal. The room had a view to the harbour and was large and clean.

Minor negative points: there is a 500 MOP (Pataca) deposit. The door room key card slot for the power is next to the bed at an inconvenient location (how to find it at night when you enter the room and want to switch the light on?). There is a "Please Clean Room" switch at the bed, easy to confuse with the light switch.

Positive points: large quiet room, clean, good A/C, Wifi via TLINK modem provided by the hotel, refridgerator, 41 TV channels including Chinese, Portugese and English. The refridgerator was empty, but complimentary water bottles were provided. All necessities are provided including bath shoes, tooth brush, soap. The receptionist spoke English and was very helpful.
