Relaxing time. Started the mini holiday perfectly.
Pros:

Lovely room. Value added items making the room extra special. Took full advantage of the hot tub. Lovely view from the patio doors. Cheky chipmunks playing on the patio. while I did computer work.

Cons:

Nothing to suggest.

Perfect place to stay.
Pros:

This was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The owners were exceptionally nice, the room was amazing and private, and the town was quaint and lively.

Pros:

The room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The property appeared to be very clean. The orange juice for breakfast was of good quality.

Cons:

I met unprofessional hosts lacking all sense of hospitality from before check-in to checkout. I felt unwelcome, even offended, apparently because I am an experienced hospitality-industry professional with huge personal travel experience. If I had not promised a friend of mine a getaway to Wakefield on a particular weekend, I would not have stayed at this property, but taken the risk of possibly losing heaps of money.

Pros:

Perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Location is great, walking distance to trails, restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

Pros:

The auberge is located on a side street with beautiful old houses, away from the traffic but within easy walking distance to all the restaurants and boutiques in Wakefield. The building and the room are modern; everything is new and fully equipped. Having the sauna on the patio was such a treat!

We had a fantastic visit. The building is clean, lovely furnishings, and checki-in was easy with the owner greeting us to go through the room. The hot tub was great, the bed was soft, lots of lovely pillows. Spacious bathroom, lots of hot water, a couple of chocolates and bottles of water for us there. We were worried about the hot tub not shutting off and it was close to 11 but the owner texted us right back, explaining it shuts off on its own. We will return!

Pros:

While there were some tiny, incidental things on the property that need some updating, this was a great weekend getaway spot. We were hiking in the Gatineau Hills, and so its location was ideal, and evening and night in Wakefield was much fun (for 2 old-timers in the early 50s!).

Little Hidden Gem. Highly recommend.
