Beautiful setting with wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms, and a lovely breakfast.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful two-night stay at Mevagissey Bay Hotel, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from the hosts, Sam and Roy, who couldn’t have been more attentive throughout our stay; nothing was ever too much trouble.
Everything about the hotel reflects real quality and care, from the luxurious linens and thoughtful toiletries to the excellent ingredients and wines on offer. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and clearly prepared with great attention to detail.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the setting is simply idyllic. With its spectacular views and perfect location between Mevagissey and Portmellon, it’s an ideal base for exploring the area.
A truly relaxing and memorable stay and we're very much looking forward to our return visit.
Diolch yn fawr iawn, Sam a Roy!

The friendlies of the owners. Nothing was ever too much trouble
super comfy bed and the owners were extremely hospitable. I cannot fault the property in any respect, we had unfortunately not realised that the restaurant had such excellent meals, we had booked elsewhere, will defiantly take advantage on a return visit.
The location, especially the views, was great, the owners and staff were amazing and the food was fabulous.
Not applicable as everything was great for us.
Stunning view from bedroom.
Great breakfast.
Room comfortable and relaxing.
Owners always helpful and attentive.
TV reception was poor so it wasn't possible to view many of the channels.
We stayed at this lovely hotel with an amazing view for 4 nights last week.
The view over Mevagissey Bay is phenomenal! The hosts, Sam and Roy, are amazing.
Nothing is too much trouble and I witnessed them on a couple of occasions going well above and beyond what you would expect.
(They know what I am referring to and I respect them immensely for what they did).
The hotel itself is lovely with nice clean rooms, a great lounging area with that view and a wonderful friendly, relaxing atmosphere. The food is really good, especially for the price.
I must repeat what fantastic hosts they are. Sam will suggest places to visit, places to eat and anything else that you need help with. Roy is just a pleasure to talk to, especially regarding rugby.
We will definitely be returning and wish them every success in the future.
What a great boutique hotel for couples, with perfect hosts, Sam and Roy. They couldnt have been more helpful. Tasteful decor, immaculately clean and very up to date. Good breakfast choices and evening meal when available. The only bugbear would be access into the hotel with steep steps, but we were warned. The magnificent sea views were worth it. I would highly recommend.
The location the views and last of all the peace and quiet .
Due to an issue the tv didn't work
Cannot fault it. Spotlessly clean. Great hosts. Fantastic view.
Cannot fault it
Stunning location with panoramic coastal views. Gorgeous, comfy rooms and excellent breakfasts. Sam and Roy are friendly, warm and welcoming - this is a wonderful hotel.
Beautiful location, super friendly hosts great food, perfect
Nothing
Couples first season and they've largely got it spot on.
Rob and Sam fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
Sea view room (pay extra) was lovely
Was a little disappointed in the size of Robs sausage! But very tasty, I've put this because you can have a good giggle with them.
Roads an arse locally.
Das Frühstück wurde individuell zubereitet und war hervorragend. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft.
Abends kann man Getränke an der Bar bestellen.
Lovely friendly staff, the views were exceptional, good choice at breakfast, room was clean and comfortable
Sehr gut
Lovely hotel in an excellent location, the views were spectacular . The owners could not do enough for you and were very welcoming , they gave good suggestions on trips/days out . We will definitely be back .
We were looking for a couple of days away on the coast and this little gem of a hotel ticked the boxes and the reviews and pictures looked good so we booked. I am so glad we did! It’s in a beautiful and quiet location with views that more than lived up to expectation!
The current owners only took over in January this year and had only 7 weeks to work on it before the season started. They managed to work miracles in that time and the rooms feel comfortable and luxurious.
If you are fans of harbour towns then Mevagissey will also not disappoint, it has the feel of Salcombe or Fowey but with far less crowds!
Breakfast was amazing on both mornings with local fresh produce and plenty of it to set us up for the day!
We opted to eat at the hotel the second night and again the food was amazing especially Roy’s calamari that was fresh and cooked to perfection!
From the time we arrived to when we left, Roy and Sam were perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I think nothing speaks more about what we thought of our stay than the fact that we are booked to go back again this week for a longer stay and we rarely go back to the same place twice!
Beautiful hotel on the cliff overlooking the bay. Everything recently updated. Stunning views and lovely accommodations. Sam and Roy are excellent hosts and delightful people. This was our favorite stay in Cornwall. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered many options. Rooms are thoughtfully stocked with coffee station, books about the history of Mevagissey, walking paths, etc. Great bar with a spectacular view. Sam and Roy helped with recommendations about town, transportation advice, history of the area and more. A 10+.
