Great chill time!
Pros:

Couples first season and they've largely got it spot on.
Rob and Sam fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
Sea view room (pay extra) was lovely

Cons:

Was a little disappointed in the size of Robs sausage! But very tasty, I've put this because you can have a good giggle with them.
Roads an arse locally.

Don’t miss this spectacular stay in Mevagissey.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel on the cliff overlooking the bay. Everything recently updated. Stunning views and lovely accommodations. Sam and Roy are excellent hosts and delightful people. This was our favorite stay in Cornwall. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered many options. Rooms are thoughtfully stocked with coffee station, books about the history of Mevagissey, walking paths, etc. Great bar with a spectacular view. Sam and Roy helped with recommendations about town, transportation advice, history of the area and more. A 10+.

Exceptional and we cannot wait to go back later this week!
Pros:

We were looking for a couple of days away on the coast and this little gem of a hotel ticked the boxes and the reviews and pictures looked good so we booked. I am so glad we did! It’s in a beautiful and quiet location with views that more than lived up to expectation!
The current owners only took over in January this year and had only 7 weeks to work on it before the season started. They managed to work miracles in that time and the rooms feel comfortable and luxurious.
If you are fans of harbour towns then Mevagissey will also not disappoint, it has the feel of Salcombe or Fowey but with far less crowds!
Breakfast was amazing on both mornings with local fresh produce and plenty of it to set us up for the day!
We opted to eat at the hotel the second night and again the food was amazing especially Roy’s calamari that was fresh and cooked to perfection!
From the time we arrived to when we left, Roy and Sam were perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I think nothing speaks more about what we thought of our stay than the fact that we are booked to go back again this week for a longer stay and we rarely go back to the same place twice!

Mevagissey Bay Hotel, what a lovely place to stay.
Pros:

What a lovely place to stay, bright, clean and very welcoming. The proprietors, Sam and Roy instantly made us feel welcome and at home and were very helpful with details and information on the local area attractions, pubs and restaurants etc.
Our room was lovely, clean and bright and the bed linen ( we like good cotton 😊) was top notch.
Our breakfast was beautifully prepared and served with a smile. There is a nice menu for dinner too.
There is a very nice and comfortable bar/lounge which can also be used through the day to just sit and take in the view over the bay. The views from the lounge and the dining room are stunning.
We really enjoyed our stay there and wish Sam and Roy every success.

Wonderful, we will definitely be joining the ‘repeat offenders’ club and staying again!
Pros:

Sam gave us a friendly, warm welcome and made us feel immediately relaxed. Despite being their first season, hosting felt like something they must have been doing for a lot longer. The breakfast was delicious, with a veggie option for me, the granola was soo good, Sam’s local knowledge and recommendations were great, the perfect mix of attentive hosts, giving you the desired space and time to relax.

Cons:

Nothing wrong with the property at all

A wonderful gem of a hotel
Pros:

With an extremely warm and friendly welcome from both owners we checked into our room (no.1) and were delighted with all aspects of. What a view, clean in every way, and the bed was so comfortable.
The owners Sam & Roy go the extra mile from the great welcome to the home made granola (a real treat) and the tasty breakfast to start the day. Without a doubt this wonderful hotel is worthy of 5 stars.
Well done to Sam, Roy & the team Excellent

Perfect setting.
Pros:

Everything about the hotel was perfect. Not large, more of a large BnB vibe. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The location was great with wonderful views overlooking the sea. The lounge and bar were cosy and great for a quiet sit and read. Hotel is up the hills above the village. Lovely walk down hill to the village centre(bit of a hike going back as uphill).

Cons:

The only down side was lack of parking. If you missed out on a spot dedicated to the hotel you had to park around the corner. People need to be aware the hills can be quite steep. Not really a dislike just a statement of fact and certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.
