Pros:

Great location beside the beach and within walking distance of the grub and pubs. Good breakfast with very friendly staff. Very good value for money.

Cons:

We stayed on a Friday and there is alot of noise from younger people enjoying the nightlife..however not a deal breaker if you remember you were once that age.

Staff where lovely and friendly . Food was lovely in the bar and good value we had a lovely stay and will be back before summer ends for a stay 😀

Short break in wet Donegal
Pros:

Breakfast was average but more than adequate and coffee good. We ate every evening in the bar and although the menu remained constant, with one day of "supper Club", the food was excellent. Lively atmosphere in the bar (noisy!)

Cons:

limited sea view and what there was is dominated by a large static caravan park that surrounds the hotel.

Basic facilities, staff were mainly great and location is great. There is no pool and sauna on site as the booking.com filter indicates

Lovely hotel and staff. Beautiful location, very convenient as you are right in the town.
Pros:

Good location, was a busy weekend so was a little bit noisy. Very friendly staff. Food in the hotel was really good.

Cons:

Bit noisy as there were events going on in the area.

Pros:

We stayed in the Downings bay hotel for a weekend. We were doing an event in the area and the hotel was great value for money and in a great location. It's also less than a 5 minute walk to the beach

A FABULOUS BREAK IN A FABULOUS HOTEL
Pros:

Very courteous staff. Breakfast had everything I wanted and more. It was delicious. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. Reception staff were very helpful. The cleaners were thorough in their housekeeping. The bedrooms were very clean and every little task was done to perfection. The beds were very comfortable. The only drawback was the hot weather which left nights very sticky which the hotel had no control over however a electric fan was provided on the second morning.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing.
