Friendly staff

Cons:

I paid for a delux room and there was nothing delux about it. Yes the bed was clean and the bsthroom was clesn but the bed was very uncomfortable and the decor not delux. Room says it comes with a sea view but you can only see a small area through the dirty windows.
The reviews on booking .com are amazing but unfortunatly untrue.

Pros:

Very clean room decorated to a good standard with a spotless bathroom. The position was perfect.
Nice to have USB ports in the sockets

Cons:

Lack of parking, and its almost impossible to park on the roads. However, the town hall public car park is just a short distance away.
I was unhappy that reception was vary rarely manned during my stay, and even phone calls went unanswered. The owner apologised and stated that he was busy elsewhere in the hotel.
The hot breakfast was very hot and overcooked. The fried egg was solid and the bacon so overcooked it was tasteless. I did discuss it with the owner and he agreed to look into it.
Despite the small problems, it was an immaculate room with an outstanding view at a very reasonable rate.

Pros:

evening meal was excellent BUT beware of the discretionary surcharge of 12%,and nothing on menu to say this. You can legally refuse to pay it. Room very clean.

Cons:

The room very small and hot. We had a bad neighbour who complained about our tv though on very low and put on picture only but then banged the walls cos we were talking. We left next morning though had booked 2 nights. Never had this in 50yrs of staying in hotel. Fried Breakfast very small and had a only just cooked egg so left it. Says 5min from station but only if you run.

Pros:

Hotel staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to help. Location was ideal for town centre.

Central location, not hugely expensive.
Pros:

The location.
The cocktail offer.
Good size room with a view.
USB chargers in lights.
Polite, helpful guy on reception & bar.

Cons:

Mattress way too firm.
Bath & sink chrome needs attention to cleaning.
No seal on the shower to bath screen.
TV remote volume not working, had to adjust on the tv itself, sad, but annoying!
Chargeable parking, albeit we parked outside for free, were lucky this time!
I did also inform staff of my concerns on departure.

Great value hotel
Pros:

Nice room, clean and great view out across to the sea. Staff were great. Well stocked bar. Location great, only a few minutes walk from the seafront or centre of town.
Great value for money, really enjoyed our stay
