Good hotel, really clean, decent room sizes and bathroom. Just needs a decent bar!

Great location, excellent entrance / welcoming staff especially when it was raining and only too happy to provide umbrellas. We had a great sized bathroom. Good breakfasts

Cons:

Guest lounge or bar is a joke, too small and not sure its point. For a high end hotel in Japan, I’m surprised there is not a decent house bar.

I did not use the hotel restaurant but did go to the happy hour, good stop for a drink before dinner. Very polite staff, the concierge made us great restaurants recommendations. Great hotel and location.

Modern Japanese minimalist right in the heart of Kyoto
Pros:

The location is right in the middle of Kyoto with everything in reach by foot. The hotel is modern Japanese minimalist, the rooms are very sizeable and comfortable. The hotel has a self-service bar with snacks, beers and soft-drinks. We would any time go there again.

Cons:

There is nothing to complain about - we chose this hotel as we like minimalist designs with spacious rooms; we missed the restaurant and onsen as we had made all sorts of reservations which is in peak season in Kyoto a must.
