Pros:

Great location. Lovely cafe on site. Room had a well appointed kitchen and good storage. Very pretty.

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable and the room was very warm. Difficult to open the window. Ok for a short stay but I would struggle more than a few nights.

Pros:

Perfect location, friendly/helpful staff, great value, and really enjoyed having a kitchen/laundry as part of our stay.

Cons:

The room floor and kitchen table could have been cleaner. There was some noticeable stickiness on the surface of the table, and the floor appeared quite dirty and could have benefited from being mopped more thoroughly. Other than that, was satisfied with our stay!

Perfect location, gracious staff, and very welcoming.
Pros:

I love the location and the staff was welcoming and helpful!

Cons:

There is not a switch on both sides of the bed to turn off the lights and it’s very inconvenient. Also, I had a room next to the alley and I had to listen to garbage and broken glass being thrown away all night long.

Pros:

Great location. We could walk to most places in 10-15 minutes. Plenty of space for two and it was nice to be able to wash our clothes. Plus, the café had great coffee. We will stay here again.

If we were in Edinburgh more often we would become regulars become
Pros:

A very laid back property in a great location and with a really friendly young staff in the cafe and the hotel side. Where else would the young woman who was monitoring overnight sit and chat with you while waiting for your 4:30 AM Taxi?
It was really nice having the small cafe downstairs open most of the day and offering a place where friends could meet you before going to lunch or dinner. The apartment style rooms were amazingly well stocked with shiny pans, an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and clothes washer.
We thought we had one small problem which was addressed quickly and turned out to just be our lack of knowledge of popup drain plugs.
Perfect place for a longish stay.

Cons:

While the room was in perfect condition, the hallway carpets had stains they gave the hotel a feeling it didn't deserve.
Our room also bordered on what may have been an outdoor space of a neighboring bar. It being quite warm for Edinburgh we had our window open and from 4 PM to almost 11 it was noisy and vulgar in a way only drunks can be. Didn't happen the other two nights. And despite knowing there were many other people staying, the hotel itself was very quiet.

Pros:

Adorei o local, bem no centro da cidade. Fiquei num apartamento no basement, e nao ee ouvia qualquer barulho.
Estava tudo limpo embora quando pedimos para fazerem uma limpeza a meio da semana pediram-nos um extra de 55 libras. Recusamos. E então trocaram as toalhas e tiraram o lixo.
O hotel fica perto de supermercados express e muitos restaurantes.

Noisy, smoking people in courtyard and leaking shower made us not wanting to return to this place.
Pros:

Easy check in, with very friendly people. Place was clean, with nicely designed furniture. A bit small, but very well equipped with dishwasher, washing/drying machine, oven, iron and board, yoga mat etc. Good amount of storage space for clothes. Downstairs coffee shop. Elevator worked well.

Cons:

Very noisy courtyard with people from the next door bar talking loudly and smoking. Could not have the windows open, and place got very stuffy and warm, even in September with rainy weather. Bed was narrow and short, but firmness was good.
Location was good, not perfect, hard to get an Uber at this location (took at least 10 min before I got one).
Shower was leaking a lot, had to use multiple towels to catch it, could wring them out after 1 shower. No coffeemaker, only a kettle, even though "standard" coffeemaking equipment was promised. Only 2 each of plates, glasses, silverware, so it felt like a waste to run the dishwasher for just 2 glasses.
For the price we paid for this apartment we had expected a bit better.
