Algemene indrukAls gast van een viersterrenhotel verwacht je een bepaald niveau van comfort en service. Helaas liet de basiskwaliteit tijdens ons verblijf flink te wensen over. Hoewel de kamer is uitgerust met fijne extra’s zoals een gevulde minibar, een haardroger en een vergrotende spiegel in de badkamer, schoot het hotel tekort op de belangrijkste punten.Kamer en comfortHet grootste minpunt was het bedcomfort. Een goede nachtrust is de essentie van een hotelovernachting, maar de matrassen en hoofdkussens waren van zeer slechte kwaliteit. Daarnaast werkte de airconditioning niet naar behoren. Het bleek geen volwaardige airco te zijn, maar een centraal ventilatiesysteem dat veel lawaai maakte en de kamer niet koelde.Faciliteiten en bereikbaarheidOok de logistiek rondom het hotel viel tegen. Er is geen lift die doorloopt naar de parkeergarage. Hierdoor moesten we verplicht met zware koffers de trap op en af, wat erg onpraktisch is voor een hotel in deze klasse.Service en gastronomieHet personeel bij de receptie was niet onvriendelijk, maar toonde erg weinig interesse; er kon amper een gesprek van meer dan twee zinnen vanaf. In het restaurant was de bediening gelukkig wel erg vriendelijk. Het eten zelf was echter weinig bijzonder of hoogstaand.ConclusieKortom: de aanwezigheid van luxe details compenseert helaas niet het gebrek aan comfortabele bedden, een goede nachtrust en een lift naar de garage. Voor een hotel met vier sterren hadden wij hier beduidend meer van verwacht.
