Hot tub could have been hotter and had more bubbles.

I requested a handicap room. It did not have safety rails or a shower chair. Just had wide doors. So I could not shower ( and I needed one).

Our stay at this hotel was overall a good experience, especially considering the price. For a budget-friendly option, it definitely met most of our expectations.
The location was a bit out of the way, but still manageable—not too inconvenient if you don’t mind a short drive to nearby attractions or restaurants. The room we ended up with was clean and comfortable, though the furniture felt a little outdated. Still, for the price, it was acceptable and functional.
We did have a minor hiccup when we first arrived—they initially gave us a room that was already occupied. Fortunately, the front desk staff acted quickly and professionally, and we were promptly given a different room without any further issues.
As for the amenities, the pool wasn’t the best, and the hot tub in particular was disappointing. It looked dirty and worn out, and it didn’t seem to be working properly. That said, we weren’t expecting luxury, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker.
Overall, if you’re looking for a decent place to stay on a budget, this hotel isn’t a bad choice. Just keep your expectations reasonable, and you’ll likely have a pleasant stay.

Clean room

I was disappointed with my stay at the Wingate by Wyndham on 4th Street in Lubbock. The rooms we were given had issues—first with a non-working AC, then with cleanliness—and the responses from the front desk staff were unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than offering solutions with courtesy, they showed visible frustration, laughed at the situation, and even hung up the phone during a call. Attempts to reach the manager were unsuccessful, and calls for assistance often went unanswered.
This property could be a great place to stay if the management addressed these service concerns, but as it stands, the lack of professionalism and basic hospitality made the experience very unpleasant.

Clean and quiet. Safe coming in late.

The lobby and our room were very clean, however the hallway on floor 2 smells like dirty diapers. This has been a recent complaint in their google reviews I noticed. I honestly wonder if they have a moisture issue under the carpet which usually means mold. Overall I am happy with our stay but hope they get that remedied soon.

Most of the stay was good the thing that was annoying is that the toiletries usually are lacking when we go and the mini fridge never gets cold enough and some of the fixtures need to be maintained better like the toilet seat

The bed was the worst bed I’ve slept in in a very long time. Terrible night sleep. The mattress was a very hard, spring style mattress.
The staff was “different”. I wouldn’t say they were rude, but they definitely weren’t centered around hospitality like you would normally see at a hotel. The lady behind the counter had a cell phone on speaker phone with the volume on high, walking around. It was just obnoxious and couldn’t hear the guy at the front desk.
Everything else was great, but that was enough for me to never go back

Nice place

Furniture in the room was damaged/worn (looked like damage from an animal). Bathtub needed some fixing and maybe a deep clean. Bugs (dead and alive) on the windowsill that got on my things.

Couldn’t get sleep, due to pigeons by the window, it was too noisy.
