First off this hotel smells amazing! Its location is awesome with a view of the capital or a water view. Walking distance to so many incredible food options! Thermostat only goes down to 67 (bad for hot sleepers) but the awesome
front desk brought me a box fan and we were back in business!

We had a very frustrating experience during our stay.
Despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed on both of our rooms (311 and 313), housekeeping still entered and stripped the beds. This was not only a clear invasion of privacy, but it also resulted in a personal item—AirPods that were left in the sheets—going missing.
When I reported the issue to the front desk, there was little urgency or ownership. It took speaking with three different people before anyone meaningfully engaged. I was told the manager, Renatta, would call me directly, but I never received that call. I ultimately spent over an hour at the front desk trying to get assistance while tracking the AirPods, which showed they were still in the hotel.
As I suspected, the AirPods were eventually found in the laundry—but only after I stood there waiting for someone to take action. This entire situation could have been avoided had our “Do Not Disturb” request been respected in the first place.
Additionally, our room was missing basic amenities like shampoo. After three calls and over an hour wait, it was finally delivered—causing us to be late to a family engagement.
Overall, the lack of respect for guest privacy, poor responsiveness, and lack of follow-through from management made this an extremely disappointing stay. This level of service is simply unacceptable.

Swell neighborhood downstairs lounge. New furniture seems like interior design store. Rooms are tops. Less costs for rooms on non-campus events. Squeaky clean overall. Come for the surly (Heather) at the downstairs lounge.
One of the highlights of the trip was hanging out in the lobby bar. Watching jeopardy and wheel of fortune with Heather (bartender) was a true treat. She was friendly and attentive.

Marriott Ambassador Elite. Have stayed here numerous times, mainly because it’s the best option in Madison. The staff are nice and it’s a fine hotel. However, there’s really no benefit of status here. Never been upgraded. Suite night awards never come through. No free breakfast. Parking is a fortune. No room service. Dont expect any meaningful benefits to having status here.
Actually considering trying out some of the other hotels in the area. Have heard good things about the concourse, the double tree and the edge water. Will report back.

The hotel staff was so nice and the rooms were very clean . Amazing view to the capitol . The rooms was quiet and the bar was so nice . Loved the breakfast i will be back.
The Valet process is a little confusing but Shivam helped me out, he explained the whole process to me and how to pay from the link. He also made sure to heat up my car before I got to it.
Visiting Madison go the first time and staying at this hotel made my whole week! Couldn’t be happier with the provided services. When I go on trips like this I really value taking care of my care, especially with the cold weather. Your valet drivers are excellent at what they do and I would like to give a special praise to Maurice for attending to my car. I will definitely be staying here during my future visits!!
