We enjoyed such a nice weekend in Madison at the AC. It was my son's move-in weekend at the University of Wisconsin so we really needed it to be a special few days and this fabulous hotel delivered. Our rooms were very comfortable, especially Room 601 which was a corner room with a stunning view of the lake. The people were kind and helpful. The restaurant is delicious and has an extraordinary view of the Capitol buiilding. We loved our stay!!

We recently stayed at the AC Hotel in Madison and had the pleasure of meeting Olivia, who was working as the car valet. From the start, she was incredibly kind, courteous, and friendly—making us feel welcome right away. She’s clearly very knowledgeable about the area and gave us fantastic recommendations for places to eat along State Street.

We were in town for a biking trip, and when we mentioned our plans, Olivia went above and beyond—providing clear directions once we were on the bike path and suggesting fun stops along the way. Her enthusiasm for Madison really shone through, and her helpful tips made our visit even more enjoyable.

If you’re staying at the AC Hotel, keep an eye out for Olivia—she’s a gem!

Great location, and amenities. Room was clean and quiet.

The buffet was not well attended to. There are two stations that can only be served by attendants but usually no one is around to help with them. One thing that would be easy to fix: the utensils for self serve are horrible and frustrating to use- a little tiny fork for the cornichons and a knife for the mustard? And you fish everything out of jars. Just tacky and poorly thought out. The tongs are slippery. Just poorly designed all the way around

Valet experience
Olivia at the valet desk was so prompt and super friendly. Made for a great stay. She was awesome and the overall valet experience was better than most if not all. If you stay here you will enjoy Olivia as well. Thank you for the great service.

The staff were very helpful. My car battery died and the valet helped me charge my battery. He was very kind and went above and beyond to help me. We were grateful!

I came to Madison for Art on the Square. The location was perfect! Staff from check to check out were so very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend The AC by Marriot.

Amazing stay! Everything was super smooth and thoughtful. Valet parking made things easy, and they even brought my food delivery right to my door. Overall, a perfect experience. I would absolutely stay here again if I have the chance.

For what we paid. I would’ve expected a step up. The bed sheets smelled a little musty. We were on the third floor and definitely heard street noise. It was ok.

This hotel has potential. Cannot beat the location for a downtown vibe and has a decent restaurant upstairs. Unfortunately, the customer service is subpar and they don’t do much. There is a manager that hides behind closed doors and instructs the staff, college kids, to refuse no-brainer requests like sending up or even giving bottles of water at the front desk. Petty.
