Having visited 6 or 7 times, usually with my family, I’ve just returned from a holiday with my Mum. As always we had a fantastic time; with lovely food, a beautiful outlook and extremely attentive staff.
A MASSIVE thank you to Navin at Bay View, he truly is an asset to the hotel! Always friendly, helpful and going over and above to provide top class service. We look forward to seeing you every time :-)
We also have to give a shout out to the following staff at Rodeo Grill; Kimi who is always smiling and professional, John who is cheerful and super efficient and Salome - always a joy! we were happy to see you in Rodeo, providing great service as always.
The Fowlds family x
Perfect, thanks to Navin at the pool bar for a great servce.
Returned from our 5th stay to this hotel staying all inclusive dine around in a spacious seaview room with balcony.
Housekeeping are brilliant, our room spotless every day with fresh bedding and towels.
Pool area super clean, nice big towels, plenty of sunbeds, no getting up stupid times, nice pool temperature. Always a big smile mornings from the team handing out towels.
The food for an all inclusive is the best I’ve ever been, from fantastic lunches by the pool, fillet steak, scallops, hibachi experience, it has everything. We brought my brother and his wife for their first time to the UAE and they loved it and want to return.
The employees are what makes this hotel even more special. Before our stay the lovely May - guests services manager answered my emails so quickly and welcomed us on arrival, as did the F&B team sending me menus etc.
During our stay many staff who recognised us greeted us by our first names which is so lovely. Too many to mention in Trader Vics who served us and were super friendly and very efficient as always.
Dhamesh, Joseph and Manu along with the lovely Navin looked after us by the pool every single day. We wanted for nothing, they are all a true credit to the Rotana chain.
John in Rodeo Grill was great, we ate here twice and the service wasn’t quite the same the day he was not here. The food however was consistently amazing.
Jayson our chef at Benihana - absolutely brilliant so funny and the food delicious.
We enjoyed the new Beach Garden restaurant, we were specifically looked after superbly by the ever smiley Michael with the biggest laugh, the wonderful Rosendo who is a joy to be around and nothing is ever too much trouble, along with the young lady Shazia who served us on 3 evenings and is so efficient, helpful and made us feel so relaxed and welcomed.
Only 2 slights during our stay, for constructive feedback, we usually love Finz but didn’t visit this stay as the all inclusive menu has reduced greatly, no more of the popular seafood curry with the naan bread topper or any non-seafood main dish, I know it is a seafood restaurant but my sis in law doesn’t eat it so we couldn’t go. Also the service inside Brahaus on the 25th Jan wasn’t great, took 1.5hrs to get our mains, wrong dishes brought and waits between one of us having our food served and another.
It didn’t affect our stay, we still think it’s a 5 star plus resort and we will be back.
PERFECT ❤️
5/5 for everything
We chose this hotel mainly for beach access, but the location is also convenient for exploring Abu Dhabi, as the promenade is only about a 20 min walk and there is a mall right next door.
The hotel itself is very beautiful and grand. Our room was a lot simpler and a bit dark, but well furnished and immaculately clean.
Breakfast was fantastic, with a lot of options and very attentive service.
We also ordered room service, which ended up being one of the best meals we had during our entire trip.
Service overall was extremely attentive, proactive and friendly, except at the beach, where it took a good while for our dishes to be cleared.
Apart from that, every single interaction with any service member was absolutely stellar.
The value for the price we paid was amazing and I would come back in a heartbeat.
We had the pleasure of visiting this lovely hotel a couple of weeks ago and we were delighted with our choice. We had previously stayed at the Intercontinental and didn’t think we would find somewhere to rival the ‘value for money’ experience we had there, but upon check in we were told confidently that we ‘wouldn’t go back there’ after our stay at the Beach Rotana! Probably a correct assumption! Our room was huge and well appointed, we were lucky to have a corner room on the 14th floor with great beach and far reaching city views, it was kept immaculately all week, the bathroom had all the necessary amenities, which were replenished when needed, the only slight niggle I had was the hairdryer, which was hard wired inside a drawer in the bathroom, I’m not a fan of hairdryers in the bathroom anyway, as I tend to shower before my hubby, and then have to wait for him to shower and the bathroom to ‘dry out’ before being able to dry/style my hair, this was impossible with the length of the cord on the hairdryer, I couldn’t see in the mirror as the cord was too short and also kept cutting out after a few seconds! It didn’t work the whole week we were there, but housekeeping very kindly brought me a plug in dryer, although the issue then was again the length of the cord wouldn’t allow me to plug in near enough to a mirror to actually see! Then I managed to get an extension lead to enable me to sit in front of a mirror to dry my hair! Please get rid of these silly hairdryers and install some better quality ones that aren’t hard wired in a bathroom! In the UK generally it’s considered quite dangerous to have a hairdryer in a bathroom! Ok, rant over, everything else here was absolutely great, the staff in all areas were polite, friendly and respectful, the facilities were very good, pool area was lovely, and grounds, especially the pond with the baby ducklings, all excellent and well maintained. The beach area was very nice, although be aware that due to its city location the sun sets quite early here and if you’re a sun worshipper, like me, you have to pick your spot carefully! We ate in several of the lovely restaurants, Finz was outstanding, we went there twice during our week, the food, and service from Virgilio were excellent, really high quality ingredients beautifully presented in a pretty setting over the water. Also booked Rodeo Grill twice, our first visit the food was amazing, for sure the best steak I’ve ever had anywhere, and service was great too, the second visit slightly disappointing, starters were fabulous but our main course order somehow got ‘lost’ and we waited ages, and when it arrived both were overcooked and dry, the lamb and the chicken were not good unfortunately. We also went to Benihana, and took part in the show cooking , which was extremely entertaining! The food was again, really good quality, lovely salmon, prawns and steak, all cooked to order right in front of you! We also went to Trader Vic’s , which was OK, it’s been a long time since we ate anywhere where people are smoking inside, which I found very offensive, personally, and the although the restaurant is really nice, the food was a little uninspiring, I was expecting it to be better. The food in the buffet restaurant was really good quality, we ate late on the day we arrived, and were pleased to find some great Indian and Middle Eastern foods to try. The food at breakfast each morning was varied and delicious, the egg station was always busy, great omelettes, poached or fried eggs, eggs Benedict etc, along with pretty much every other breakfast options from all over the world. Juice was good quality, and we enjoyed a chat with Alan, who oversees the catering here, and does a fantastic job, the food quality overall here is excellent. We had the All Inclusive Dine Around package which offers brilliant value for money, whilst each restaurant has a separate menu for this package you really don’t feel you have limited choice, each menu offers about five starters, mains, desserts, and also cocktails, Prosecco, several white and red wine options, and a rose, with five or six beers/ciders too. It’s not at all restrictive, and we enjoy each restaurant we visited. Having the shopping mall on-site is great, and it’s a short walk to another slightly bigger one. Overall wouldn’t hesitate to return here, had a fabulous time!
I have been a regular guest at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi since 2022, and the service remains world-class. As a fellow hotelier, I have very high standards, and this property continues to exceed them stay after stay.
A special shout-out to Abdulla at Reception. He handled my check-in with great professionalism and was incredibly helpful this morning in arranging a late checkout. It is rare to find a team member who balances efficiency with such a genuine, welcoming attitude.
The consistency of the service here is why I don't stay anywhere else in Abu Dhabi. Thank you, Abdulla, and the entire team for another seamless experience. See you again soon
We came here for some winter sun, it was our 2nd visit we went last march,
We were blown away yet again some of the staff remembered us and welcomed us back.. all the staff are amazing here they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay!
We stayed on the all inc dine around this is a must for us as we love food! The restaurants are outstanding all of the meals we had were 10 out of 10 the steak house, finz, italian, trader vics and benihana absoloutly outsanding food with excellant service, the breakfast and lunches top notch honestly its our new favirite place cant wait to return
I recently stayed at Beach Rotana, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was perfect, the room was extremely spacious, everything was clean, and the scent throughout the hotel was amazing. The place is quiet, the price is reasonable, and the service was truly exceptional. Every detail felt perfect, making the stay unforgettable.
This hotel holds a special place in my heart, as I previously celebrated my wedding there. Being back brought back beautiful and unforgettable memories.
A special thank you to Mr. Mathew for his outstanding service, professionalism, and genuine kindness. His dedication and support made our stay even better.
Highly recommended.
We stayed at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi for 13 nights (almost two weeks) as a family with my wife and our two children (aged 3½ and 1).
Positives
The hotel itself is in a very good location and looks impressive on arrival. The welcome at the entrance was warm and professional, and overall the property is well maintained.
Our children absolutely loved the pool area and the general facilities around the hotel, which are excellent for families. These aspects were genuinely enjoyable and are the main reason we still managed to have some good moments during our stay.
Room Size & Broken Promise
When we first entered our room, it immediately felt far too small for a family of four with 4–5 suitcases. The children were running around and there was barely any space to move.
Before unpacking anything, I called Guest Services around 10am and explained the situation. The gentleman I spoke to (whose voice I recognised from downstairs earlier that morning) was extremely polite and reassuring. He told me clearly that it would be “no problem” to move us to a larger room and that Reception would arrange the move.
We arrived at the hotel at 8am and were waiting all day expecting the move. By 2pm, after waiting four hours with two tired children, I called Reception again. This time I was asked many questions and told they would “get back to me.”
By 4pm, there was still no update. I then went down in person and was told they needed to know who had promised this and that there would be an extra charge of around 400 AED per day for a larger room.
The extra cost itself wasn’t really the issue. The real problem was that we had been promised a room move at no cost, and because of that promise, we wasted the entire first day of our holiday waiting in a cramped room with exhausted children. My wife and kids were understandably frustrated, and it completely ruined our first day.
I chose not to cause a scene and simply stayed in the original room and carried on with our holiday, but this experience set a negative tone for the rest of our stay.
Because of the lack of space and the stress it caused, I eventually booked another hotel for four nights just so we could have some breathing space and relax properly as a family.
Serious Allergy Incident at Indigo Restaurant
One night, I had dinner at the hotel’s Indian restaurant, Indigo. I ordered a samosa starter.
Not once was I asked about allergies, and there was no nut allergy warning on the menu. I am allergic to nuts.
Shortly after eating, I became extremely unwell in my hotel room. I struggled to breathe, vomited repeatedly (5–6 times every minute for around 20–30 minutes), and had severe stomach pain. I was lucky enough to make it to the pharmacy across the road to get medication.
This was a very frightening experience and could have been far worse if my allergy had been more severe. I’m not seeking compensation — I am only highlighting this because menus should clearly state nut allergens, and staff should ask about allergies. This is basic safety and could genuinely save someone’s life.
Overall Impression
The hotel has a great location, attractive facilities, and a family-friendly environment, and the pool area was a big highlight for our children.
However, the broken promise regarding the room move and the serious food allergy incident were major disappointments that shook our confidence in the hotel’s service standards.
I believe once a guest is promised something by staff, that promise should be honoured. My only mistake was not taking the name of the gentleman who assured us the room change would be arranged.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously, particularly regarding communication between staff and food allergy safety, as both could be significantly improved.
We had an amazing time at Rotana Beach, and a huge part of it was thanks to Dharmesh. He was genuinely one of the best staff members we came across on our whole trip — warm, friendly, and always smiling.
Dharmesh was super attentive without ever being pushy, really quick with service, and gave great recommendations. Even when it was busy, he kept everything flowing and somehow still made time for a chat and a laugh. It’s that kind of hospitality that makes you feel properly looked after and want to come straight back.
Rotana Beach is brilliant anyway — great atmosphere, lovely setup, and excellent service — but Dharmesh really took it to the next level. If you’re visiting, hope you get him behind the bar. Absolute star
Room 1102 perfect clean as been used for the 1st time advice to all stay in ROTANA beach hotel always
What an amazing hotel - we were recommended by relatives who had travelled Jan 2025 so we booked Nov/Dec 2025 and they rebooked Jan 2026. We specifically enjoy our stays with the Gloria group Turkey (not out of season) but oh my gosh who would actually pay that amount of money for tricky weather, piers closed, terrible entertainment and very VERY closed down a la cartes? Maybe people with money to burn sadly not us, Gloria is fabulous but not this time of year. We have NEVER stayed anywhere with this level of service EVER - the staff are literally off the scale there is nothing too much trouble - they’re gentle kind interested unbelievably professional- this hotel is incredible on every level. We are English we found ourselves in the minority which was great as we were interested and recognised the other guests around us - the restaurants are incredible fabulous atmosphere simply low key and chic but what a great trip to chill - we were getting away after an awful family loss and although the staff didn’t know that their lovely gentle interactions made all the difference at a time of complete trauma - so thank you all
Well done to head chef Chris and his team for making our family holiday the best we could have asked for the food was better than amazing especially the new years gala dinner it blew us away . The in house staff were the same just wonderful catering for all your needs would definitely stay here again
Love this place, me and my family we stay here everytime we are in Abu Dhabi, The hotel is big, with all necessary food outlets bars and recreation facilities
Great location , hotel very clean and very good food , amazing service, very friendly and professional staff. Looking forward to our next visit
Extremely noisy and chaotic hotel. Poolarea, lobby etc almost impossible to stay in. Slow service. Unattentive service. The reception people laughs at you in a funny way when you ask for something. Their rewards system is simply not working.
This was our 6th stay at Beach Rotana, this time over Christmas, NY and my partner’s birthday. The food and service in the restaurants were as excellent as our previous visits with the stand out being Christmas Day brunch. We ate in Finz, Rodeo, Prego’s, Indigo, Trader Vics and Bayview, my only negative points are the all inclusive cocktails in Trader Vics are a poor selection compared to our last stay in March 2025 and a number of items are no longer on the all inclusive menu in Finz such as the seafood biryani.
We enjoyed drinks in the expanded Beach Garden and the warm welcome from Tej. As ever the service from the team at the pool bar and Bayview was excellent, Navin and his team are very hard
working and attentive always with a smile and are a credit to the hotel.
We’re looking forward to our next visit.
Came with whole family:
Really good stay, rooms are really out dated, the pool staff was slow as i we was 8 people i had to carry 8 towels and make the beds myself with no help nearby.
All inclusive was great option but limited to the selection of the drinks, they was making cocktails from cheap drinks..making Old Fashion with teachers or Bloody Mary with Smirnoff Vodka!!
Restaurants was excellent, only had problem with Pregos where they kept denying my Sister-in law to have gluten fee takeaway during lunch, the bayview lads said pregos does take away (as bayview does not do GF) as we always fancied eating at the bayview and she has 6months baby, but pregos was really difficult to deal with.
Big shout out to

Lastly water in the room is absolutely horrible, there is Mall with the hotel, we had to get water from there, i did tell the room service about the water and they told me they can only give this, felt like water was filled from the Tap as it gave dry mouth.
We have previously been several times to the hotel and will keep returning as it is a wonderful hotel. This time we spent Christmas here.
The room was on the small side but perfectly fine for us; the bathroom well appointed with a powerful shower. Although we brought our own toiletries, there were complimentary ones in the bathroom including razor and shaving cream. Housekeeping kept the room spotlessly clean and replenished towels, water, tea and coffee daily.
The pool area was lovely after the renovation and as part of the All-inclusive dine around drinks were served to sun beds as well as the swim up bar. The guys serving were amazing at keeping you well watered (and fed). Special thanks to Vishnu, Navin, Carlo, Jeffrey and the rest of the guys (sorry I knew I should have written down your names!) A special thanks to Mo for checking with guests daily to see if there was anything more they required.
Breakfast in the main restaurant was varied, plentiful and delicious. Thanks to Rosie and her team for looking after us so well. Nothing (and I mean nothing) was too much trouble.
The Christmas Eve Buffet and the Christmas Day Brunch were absolutely fabulous. So many varied and delicious options. Executive Chef Alan Snyman was on hand overseeing this mammoth operation. Always ensuring that everyone had a marvellous time.
Pre dinner drinks were taken at Al Shorfa, Again brilliant service by Jerra, Aye, Stephanie, Roshika, Precious and Simyen. Thank you!
We ate dinner in the main restaurant twice, and then used the a la carte restaurants: Finz, Rodeo Grill, Brau House, Benihana and Trader Vics. (I have reviewed each restaurant separately) All absolutely delicious with impeccable service.
It must be noted that ALL the staff were an absolute credit to the hotel. We were treated like valued guests by every staff member we met.
We are looking forward to our next visit in July.
Thank you Beach Rotana for a brilliant and restful break.
