Would stay again
Pros:

Fantastic staff, room exactly as described with an excellent view, and bar down below (which wasn't noisy and shut a sensible time).

Will stay again when I come back to koh tao

Cons:

Lage top, der Rest nicht sehr gut
Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut.

Cons:

Schlechte Ausstattung. Sehr hartes Bett. Licht kaputt. Handtuchständer kaputt. Morsches Geländer am Balkon. Besitzer meinte er hätte so viel Stress und keine Zeit etwas zu reparieren. Fernseher steht in der Beschreibung und war nicht vorhanden. Rezeption oft nicht besetzt (mussten eine Dreiviertel Stunde warten bis wir auschecken konnten). Am Anfang hieß es man kann das Gepäck bei Ihnen lassen und Sie würden darauf schauen. Als wir wieder kamen war kein Mensch bei der Rezeption und unser Gepäck stand einfach am Gang. Hellhörige Zimmer.

Good hotel near the Pier
Pros:

Walking distance from the Pier. Located on busy streets, cafes close by. Nice view from the balcony (not in your room, but for all in the same flooor- to the pier). They allowed leave our bags for the day while we went on the snorkeling trip.

Pros:

The guy on the desk was really friendly, and the hotel was really flexible on us checking in a day later than we had planned. We really appreciated that.

The location was really central to the pier but surprisingly quiet, we didn't hear the boats as much as we thought.

We had some nice drinks in the bro&sis restaurant downstairs and watched the boats come in and the sunset.

Cons:

Unfortunately the walls are really thin and the people in the room next to us were really loud and we're playing music through really loud speakers. There are no quiet hours and no one to contact in the hotel after 8pm, so your nights sleep will be up to whether your neighbours want to throw a party or not.

Absolutely don’t recommend
Pros:

Central to the pier and lots of shops in close proximity. Staff was friendly and the restaurant on the lower level was good and reasonably-priced.

Cons:

This was by far the worst stay we had.
The room we had didn’t have much of a view which was okay, however the room was super dark and even the lights didn’t help much. The iron bars in front of the window made it a bit depressing.
The bed was hard as most beds in Thai-fashion. When sitting on the bed we had to be careful not to hurt ourselves on some springs and wires that were rather sharp that kept poking out of the mattress.
The bathroom was a nightmare. Towel rack and shower head kept falling off, no hand soap was provided. The bathroom smelled moldy and there was mold all over the tiling.
We caught a glimpse into the other rooms and were shocked to see that they looked completely different and much more like what we were expecting from the pictures online.
If you’re staying in this place make sure not to stay in room B14.

As far as service goes - we never received the complimentary water bottles that we were supposed to get every day.
