I liked that the property was right in the beach, and the restaurant was pretty good!
It was under renovation and when I reserved it I hadn’t noticed anything in regards to that.
Pool, neighbor pool, access to the beach
Broken kids games, pool stones lose, not very nice/ attentive to kids, it was Christmas no extra ideas extra/ additions offered, cards for a l card breakfast (took longtime get it), chairs in breakfast area were very old- lost there cloth, you got it stick on your trousers- super icky!!!

THE LOCATION, VIEW, LAZY RIVER POOL, FOOD
Overall the staff was very good and helpful with almost everything. Beds were comfortable and food at the restaurant was better than most places we ate at during the trip.
Just simply saw signs of wear and tear in some areas of the hotel. Hotel had an unnecessary parking fee associated with the stay. Toilet in the room was constantly having its flapper stay up. Cause of it was not addressed other than being told to push it down. This meant removing the tank lid once or twice daily. Not what I want on a vacation. There's one wash off station on the property for anyone returning from the beach. A second one would've been helpful. Hotel gave wristbands for the pool that were not easy snap on/snap off.

Ac unit sucked the first night. Then the next night was arctic, which was great.
Everything about this hotel was amazing! My family and I enjoyed everything! The hotel was so clean, which is at top of my list when searching for a hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning again! We had a great experience!

The location
They oversold the rooms, I paid for an oceanfront room they put me in a parking lot view, the check in process was a nightmare, the mgr asked could he take someone else after I stood there for over 20 minutes because they had charges on my folio from someone else in the room previously, it was cold and I was tired from driving across the state, they offered me a free drink, then I thought ok I'll get to my room and relax because even in the cold the ocean just melts tension away, it was a parking lot view, I spent the next few hours speaking to booking.com, Lila refunded me $60 for the parking, Booking refunded me not including the first night, I checked out the next day early, went to another hotel and received a receipt for the pet fee balance of $75, they used my credit card the next day for no reason at all, when I called to ask why, the person at the desk was rude, never once was I rude but I was treated like I they could care less and like I was a problem because they oversold the oceanfront rooms. 40 years of Hilton vacations and this was to relax for a few days going into the new year & they caused more stress, they didn't even apologize or even try to accommodate me.
