Really nice hotel. Comfortable and a nice breakfast.
Pros:

Lovely room, nice balcony, staff were lovely

Cons:

The tv was poor. Channel selection poor and kept losing signal.
The fan was poor in a hot night. It needs proper air conditioning - quality of sleep was not good because it was too hot.
A few bottles of water would have been better - especially since it is a deluxe room..

Lovely hotel overlooking cathedral in Lincoln
Pros:

Good sized room with comfortable bed overlooking the Cathedral.
Good WiFi. Easy parking on site which cost £7/ day.
Fan provided to help cool down room in the summer heat.

Cons:

No air con but knew this when booking.

The very worst experience I’ve ever had in any hotel

Very run down, smelt of wee, we paid for an upgrade to a superior room which was absolutely awful, the balcony was dirty and had a trench type hole at the back.
The bed was so worn out the mattress had two huge dips in it and the furniture looked like it was very old. We asked the manager to be moved to another room and he said they were all in the same condition. He didn’t hesitate to refund us which makes me think the hotel has been like this for a while. Booking.com you really should not be advertising this place.

Die Lage direkt an der Kathedrale ist sehr gut, ebenso gibt es Parkplätze direkt am Haus.
Die Auswahl für das englische bzw. kontinentale Frühstück ist akzeptabel.

Cons:

Für ein Hotel mit 4 Sternen finde ich es inakzeptabel, dass im Hochsommer, vor allem während einer Hitzewelle im UK, die Klimaanlagen in allen Zimmern und Stockwerken außer Betrieb sind. Die Informationen an der Rezeption waren diesbezüglich nicht hilfreich.
Das Personal könnte motivierter, aufmerksamer und freundlicher sein.

Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was good but please improve evening meal. Hotel needs refreshing.

The location was excellent. Could not be any better.

Cons:

The evening meal was a disappointment. 5/10. It did not appear to be freshly made. The fish was overcooked and in a tomato/chorizo/bean sauce that was not fresh. The pate was served on an enormous stale/hard white bun which i didnt eat and the man on the next table left as well. Dessert! Crumble, lacking ffuit served in a shortcrust pastry tart. Not good.

Comfortable.
Pros:

I liked the view of the cathedral and the street below. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking round back is great but costs £7 a night.
Bed was very comfortable..not too hard or too soft, and we had a very decent night's sleep which was probably helped by the cathedral's chiming clock being turned off during the night.

Cons:

Well of course the decor is a bit shabby and dated looking...however the cleanliness was acceptable and the staff were ok so we didn't mind. In any case we spent most of our time looking out at the incredible view which included the huge statue of the poet Tennyson and his hound.

Good apart from the room.
Pros:

The Lincoln Hotel is looking very tired, the rooms desperately need an upgrade, but the staff were very nice.
Unfortunately because of the rooms we
will not stay again.

Cons:

The rooms need refurbishing, we understand that is extremely expensive, but it needs to happen.

A pleasant stay in Lincoln.
Pros:

Relaxing, comfortable and clean. The location was convenient for the Cathedral, but there was a steep hill into the town centre. Check in was easy and there was a good amount of parking available.

Cons:

Having to pay £7.00 per night for parking.
