Absolutely horrendous
Pros:

I have been to a solicitor today with photographs of the state of this place the bed the pillows where covered in copious amounts of brown stains there was mold and dirt everywhere the people in the back of the pub where horrible to my wife the shower was an inch deep with black mold pidgeons were getting in to the kitchen the place should be shut down i am calling the environmental health tomorrow my wife has blood cancer and we went as a treat I have spent thousands of pounds through booking ,com and won't anymore we slept in a public car park from 4am in the morning in the car as this place was so disgusting I will be putting this and the photos all over social media and our solicitor is pursuing this I want our money back and an apology we are both in our sixties and don't deserve this at all

Cons:

Abuse as we entered the back from car park stains on mattresses and pillows everywhere never been washed for years absolutely filthy with muck and deep mold the place was crawling with germs I have photos of everything

It’s a great bang for the buck for a short stay in Castle Douglas, Scotland!
Pros:

The staff was phenomenal at this establishment! We received a tasty breakfast with the price of the room, each day of our stay! And, The Imperial Hotel was located near a great innovative restaurant right next door! We also loved the Castle Douglas activity in the vicinity!

Pros:

Didnt stay for breakfast

Cons:

The place is shabby and uncomfortable. Its beyond the phrase needs a refresh, it needs gutting out. The room was grim, carpets stained with god knows what and the bathroom was disgusting. We booked for two nights and bugged out after one as the prospect of spending another night in that horrible room was unbearable
