Homely hotel, very cute
Nothing
The private location and the wonderful room. Breakfast was great.
Not allowing a check in of 11pm on the night of the wedding meaning the mother of the groom had to leave the reception half way through to check in on their behalf. The time they’d be arriving was clearly documented early on in the booking.
Pool and location
Nice room. Nice staff. Dinner and breakfast were also very good.

Location of room and Outdoor pool
Evening meal breakfast very good.
Bed was VERY uncomfortable , sink didn’t drain , bathroom door makeshift lock, side light didn’t work, bathroom door was not secure or on hinges, only attached at the top which meant it was easy for a child to injure themselves.
A really positive experience from beginning to end. After a horrible long journey on a hot day we arrived at our cool comfy ground floor room with access through potion doors to a small terrace and beyond that the hotel pool. Quite reasonably it was quiet busy but by 6.30 it was quiet. We had a lovely swim and went back in the next morning again. Lovely veggie breakfast, and dog friendly too. Staff all efficient and lovely.
The pool would have been really nice but they do day passes for people not staying at the hotel so it was extremely busy with lots of kids in it all day. Great for kids and day visitors but not great for people staying at the hotel for a relaxing pool break. You couldn't get in the water as it was full of kids. It's probably fine on weekdays during term time but we went during summer holidays so it spoilt it for us as we only went because it had a pool
The pool would have been really nice but they do day passes for people not staying at the hotel so it was extremely busy with lots of kids in it all day. Great for kids and day visitors but not great for people staying at the hotel for a relaxing pool break. You couldn't get in the water as it was full of kids jumping in and splashing about. It's probably quieter on weekdays during term time but we went during summer holidays so it spoilt it for us as we only went because it had a pool. Also food was quite expensive and £3.00 for a packet of crisps was a bit extortionate.
Lovely room very clean - friendly & helpful staff
Nothing
Spacious room, plenty of parking, friendly staff.
Breakfast was an expensive option. Shower was hit and miss getting it to work at a decent temperature. Although the room was tidy it felt a little tired.
This is a lovely country style location easy to get to with private car parking and good facilities we had a ground floor room with private terrace and our own access to the outside pool. Sophia was extremely helpful prior to making our booking and Sharon was our confirmation contact and she was on duty during our stay and showed excellent customer service (I decline adding photos to protect other guests and members of the public who were also using the facilities)
All of the staff were amazing and extremely helpful and the young lady at breakfast Dee was a diamond
The pool
We had paid to use the pool and have some drinks and something to eat. Sadly we left after an hour. When we arrived for our booked session at 3 pm. We were told to wait outside the hotel and form a queue. We were not allowed to have a drink in the bar whilst we were waiting for our pool session. Upon entering we were subjected to a bag search and told to go through the hotel. I had to ask a member of staff where to go as I hadn’t been before. Upon reaching the pool I was surprised how small the pool was and lack of sunloungers or comfortable seating. After purchasing a drink at the bar proceed to the terrace tables. Shortly afterwards we were told to move by a member of staff saying this area was reserved for guests staying at the hotel despite the area being completely empty.
We also found that food would not be served until an hour and a half into our session.
We were made to feel like second class citizens. We had paid to use the pool and were purchasing refreshments from the hotel but sadly the hotel did not feel our custom was important enough to extend to common courtesy and comfort. Safe to say we will not be returning to the hotel..
Restaurant and bar areas nice modern and clean
Room was abit dated. Sofa bed uncomfortable. Wasn’t told about a wedding being held and didn’t feel like we could use the pool as the wedding party had vertically taken over the outside area.
Also gluten free pizza was ok but probably a frozen one.
