Needs Improvement
Pros:

My checking experience was horrible. The AC units were faulty, I had to be moved 4 times before getting a good working AC unit after 8hrs. Furthermore the food was quite poor.The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly, except the IT guy that was quite rude. Management needs to improve the units and fumigate frequently; because there were a bunch of mosquitoes.

Pros:

I was a returning customer to this hotel. Staff was courteous and professional. I did not travel with my vehicle so hotel staff called a hotel registered cab that drove me around both within and out of state for the days I was with them. I had no security issues. Continental breakfast buffet was a plus. They offer variety of local and continental meal for lunch and dinner though I tilted towards local dish-onugbu, oha soup etc. Room was sparkling clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend De Santos Hotel Awka. In my opinion, their rate is fair compared to the quality of service. I did not utilize the gym and swimming pool so I cannot comment on those amenities. Also, the hotel is located along Enugu/Onitsha express way which makes it easily accessible. Over all, I had an awesome experience at De Santos Hotel Awka.

A Wow Experience
Pros:

The hotel is unbelievably comfortable. Everything worked but for little flashes of maintenance dereliction. Some annoying little things that could have been permanently fixed in bathroom were missed, and some minor lighting issues; but regardless, it was a fantastic stay. i will definitely return.

Pros:

Hotel premises is sparkling neat. Security level is very high with a police patrol station located few blocks away from facility. Staff appears neat and decently dressed. Top notch customer service. Restaurant has variety of both local and intercontinental dishes. Complimentary breakfast is commendable. Food is well prepared and tastes really good.(I am very particular with what I eat). I did not come with my own ride so the receptionist recommended a cab driver that took me around within the state and outside the state for the few days I was with them. I had no issues with my cab experience bearing in mind that I do not live in that area, so I was so concerned about security issues. They were very responsive to my requests. I did not use the swimming pool or the gym so I will not comment on them. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again at De Santos hotel anytime I am around that vicinity.
