Fantastic
Pros:

Booked for a one night stay to go to the theatre, on arrival got upgraded to another room. The staff were very good, the room was very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed and there was parking available.

Couldnt of picked better hope to come back some time.
Pros:

Didnt have breakfast.the very good shower.the comfy bed.the rooms temperature.the cleanliness all round.nice bar.

Cons:

Only thing i could possibly think of is a little portable mirror nearer the sink for shaving.

Pros:

Excellent view, staff could not be more helpful, food very good

Cons:

Room was a little small for me but did not spoil the view.
All rooms need updating like the ones already completed
Stairs a bit tricky but knew there was no lift when booking

Pros:

The staff were approachable and friendly. The setting is nice, and the Hotels remake has been wonderfully completed. The airy feel to the downstairs rooms us delightful, overall a very olesant stay.

Cons:

The breakfast was ok but I expected slightly better and it included a discretion tip(I only realised after paying )...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return

On arrival to the Golden Lion i needed to change rooms due to mobility issues affecting one of our party. Giles was incredibly accommodating and took the time to show us a perfect room that suited our needs. His excellent customer service made a real difference to our stay. We would therefore happily return
