Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
Pros:

Staff disponibile e gentile, camere ampie dotate di AC e tv, doccia con un muretto di separazione dal resto del bagno. Molto vicino a spiaggia, negozi, ristoranti e supermercati, transfer in aeroporto incluso, pulito.

Hotel is in a good location. The room was large. Free transfer back to the airport.

Cons:

Bathroom only had a bar of soap, no shampoo or shower gel (the only hotel in Sri Lanka in a two week trip where I found this).

You can pay by credit card but they add 3% to cover the credit card fees (not a problem - just be aware).

I had messaged and pre-booked the transfer back to the airport for 06.45. On arrival they asked if it could be 06.30 as two other people had booked for this time. I reluctantly agreed. When I got back from dinner I was asked if it could be 06.15 and put on the phone with the manager! I stood firm at 06.30 but I really had to push for that. As it was I arrived at the airport too early and had a long wait before my flight.

Buena opción de paso para el aeropuerto
Pros:

Es una opción muy económica para pasar una noche antes o después de un vuelo. Tienen servicio de transfer gratis a cualquier hora, a nosotros nos llevaron a las 4am al aeropuerto. Teniendo en cuenta en cuenta el precio incluyendo el transfer se convierte en la opción perfecta

Había muchos mosquitos en la habitación, no sé si habían tenido durante el día la puerta abierta ñ.

Buena ubicacion, personal excepcional.
Pros:

Me gustaria hacer una clara distincion entre el personal, y lo que es el hotel como edificio.

El personal es de 10. Calida acogida con zumo de bienvenida. El chico de la recepcion nos arreglo el shuttle al aeropuerto gratuito, a la hora convenida sin problemas. El chofer tambien fue simpatico y agradable.

La ubicacion es genial para tu 1er o ultimo dia de viaje debido a la proximidad con el aeropuerto y el transfer gratuito.

Cons:

El hotel en sí, un aprobado raspado. Pues aunque cuenta con lo básico y A/C, necesita un lavado de cara general. Presion del agua de la ducha escasa.

Se ve, que el hotel en su momento, tuvo que estar bastante bien, pero unas reformitas no le vendria nada mal para recuperar el esplendor que seguro tuvo en su dia.

An accomodation option close to the airport
Pros:

The location - close to the beach and very convenient when travelling to the airport- this was also organised by the hotel (included in the room rate).
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good.

Cons:

Well - difficult to describe but the place is not really giving a Sri Lankan feeling. Only white/beton walls, the pool is not inviting to swim…

Leighton Resort is fantasic place at Negombo. Free transfer, good contact with owners. Nice and helpfull staff. They can help with everything. VERY Good food: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fruits, juice, desser. After all day You can relax in swimming pool. Big room with tv, electric kettle coffe and tea. Big bathroom with shower and hot water( You must wait few minutes). Nice view, quaiet. Clouse to shops, coffe shopping, restaurants. Currency Exchange same like in city. I recommend Leighton Resort to long and short stay. 100 % Positive place.

Goede locatie, schone comfortabele bedden. Erg goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Gratis vervoer naar de luchthaven, zelfs voor een groep van 8 personen midden in de nacht. Aanrader in Negombo!!
