Lovely room with sea vew. Excellent Location. Great Breakfast
Excellent clean and tidy
The hotel is nicely located with on road parking only. The room had a sea view but the windows were obstructed with scaffolding and this was pointed out by another review earlier in the year which I thought would have gone by now. There was no one working on the building so my guess is the scaffolding may be long term ? The breakfast room which also looked out over the bay was also obstructed by the same scaffolding. The breakfasts were very good along with the meals we had on an evening. The hotel is nice but run down and needs a lot of TLC to bring it upto the 4 stars it displays. Depending on how fussy you are with a bit of dust or paint flaking off the walls and a toilet seat that wouldn’t stay up will depend on how you would rate the hotel, but it wouldn’t win anything in the TV program “4 in a Bed”. The only room left was a premium room when we booked so I would have expected a little more for the price difference. The bar and food which is part of the hotel has a lot of local trade and dictates open hours along with the weather. Our few days the weather wasn’t brilliant and the bar was closed by 10pm and that was a Friday night. I am led to believe that if the sun is out then it can be heaving. Although there are negative points I wouldn’t be against going back.
Good friendly staff food good but deco needs a little attention
The hotel was in a very rundown condition. We weren't told about the hotel having scaffolding surrounding the building which did affect any view from the room. A real lack of warmth and atmosphere was evident when we arrived. The bedroom was very basic which is fine, however the cleanliness of the room was quite poor. The shower tray was cracked at the base with a large section simply missing. Significant timescale deposits on the showerhead were quite disappointing along with numerous watermarks on the tiles. The bathroom door needed repainting as it had scratches and scuffs. The evening meal we had was extremely disappointing. We had to send back a prawn cocktail as the prawns were very clearly from frozen, and not sufficiently thawed nor fresh. Although we some of the rest of our food, it was quite a low standard. It was disappointing that the meal cost us significantly more than our lunch at a local restaurant we know called Tiffanys which was streets ahead in terms of freshness and quality and cheaper.
In closing the breakfast was expectedly disappointing. I had walked through the breakfast rooms the previous evening to note that the yogurts were already on the buffet table. Needless to say I avoided these. The cooked breakfast was lacklustre and below par.
It's a real shame because it could be a very nice place, but is suffering from years of neglect and underinvestment and staff who seem to lack any joy or motivation to make the guests feel welcomed. Poor
Great location. Excellent breakfast. Exterior work on the property did take the edge off our stay.
The hotel was having some renovations done on the outside of the building so interfered with the view some what the staff were pleasant the breakfast was very good dinner in the restaurant was lovely
Had a lovely 2 night stay very comfortable and peaceful lovely staff. Food was good.
Great room had a sea view room. Breakfast was lovely. Cooked breakfast nice and hot and good choice. Room was clean and fresh looking.
Nice property, good staff, quiet safe area. Excellent breakfasts, plus a good dining menu for the restaurant. We stayed 13th & 14th Oct 24. Would definately return. Hotel opposite the sea. Bus terminus next door to the hotel but easy walkable to llandudno town centre and pier.
Pleasant staff, tidy room, nice takeaway breakfast.
Lovely view from bedroom window. Pleasant chef served breakfast
Check in was quick. Lovely hotel on the sea front. Rooms quiet and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Room was ok. Nice bathroom. Breakfast wasn't good not much on offer and room dark and gloomy. Needs a refresh. Place seems unloved. Didn't see any staff upon checkout and just a note to leave keys.
Won't return.
Hotel was on the quieter side on Llandudno which was good easy parking. Food was good and plentiful
We were on our "World Tour of Wales" and this was our ninth night.
The welcome was: Reception is unmanned, so we had to find someone to check us in. If there was a sign, it was not big enough to read.
The room was beautifully decorated, clean and luxurious. The hotel currently undergoing renovations, judging by what's been done, it will be a fabulous boutique hotel once it's finished. It is in a great location, the main part of town in half a mile away and there is a lovely sandy beach opposite.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious, the menu having lots of options, including vegetarian and vegan. Breakfast was cooked to order, which was great.
We stayed in ten hotels during our holiday and we rated them like the charts from 10 to 1, where 1 was the best. The prices ranged from £65 to £125. The Lily was below the median cost and came in at No. 8, but there was some stiff competition.
Would we return: Yes we would.
Good to know: Parking is free on the street outside the hotel.
A1
My husband is 6 ft 7, so wherever possible we book a room with a King sized bed. This room was advertised as such, but only had a double bed. When I queried this, I was told that the Hotels.com information is wrong but is too difficult to change. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable & breakfast was good. If we'd had the King sized bed as booked, I would have given 5 stars.
The exterior of the property could benefit from renovations. Bedroom was modern, and decorated with style. Ample free parking on the street. Pub and restaurant were lively with and were good value for money. A full cooked breakfast was included in the price.
What a great hotel, food is amazing the staff are amazing we will definitely be back
