Very disappointing experience — overpriced motel pretending to be a nice hotel

I’m extremely disappointed. For $300 a night, we ended up staying in a noisy, mediocre motel with a view of the parking lot, no breakfast, and no access to the pool.

First, the hotel advertises beautiful photos of a swimming pool, but conveniently fails to make it clear that the pool is only available by advance reservation, for an additional fee, and to guests aged 18 and over. Not exactly what you expect when booking a family stay!

Second, the advertised “lake view” from the ground floor turned out to be a lovely view of the parking lot. Very misleading.

Third, the soundproofing is absolutely terrible. If your neighbors decide to watch TV in the middle of the night, congratulations - you’ll be following the entire plot whether you want to or not.

Fourth, the bathroom layout is ridiculous. The bathtub is right next to the bed, separated only by a curtain. Every sound from the bathroom or toilet can be heard throughout the room. Absolutely no privacy.

Fifth, the lighting is awful. There is no cozy, soft lighting in the kitchen or living area — just harsh, blinding overhead lights. Nothing about the room feels warm or comfortable.

Sixth, our reservation was clearly for four people, yet the room was stocked with towels for only two.

Overall, this is a very average motel charging premium hotel prices while trying to present itself as something much nicer.

Don’t be fooled by the photos or the price tag. This place is absolutely not worth $300 a night.

They didn’t tell us the spa was closed early until it was too late to cancel, bummer.
Pros:

The view along the lake is nice.

Cons:

The property did not inform us that the spa would be closed early the day we booked until we called to reserve access. At that point we’d already booked and the stay was non refundable. They need to be more transparent on booking.com that the spa closes early (5pm) many days of the week.

I was not impressed because of the reasons mentioned above
Pros:

Breakfast is not included
The location is good
It is clean and the staff is pleasant and willing to help

Cons:

The check in is too late (4:00 pm) and the check out is too early (11:00 am)
The tvs did not work in any of the rooms. The hotel is pricey for what it offers.
It would be an asset for the hotel to have a swimming pool and for the guests to have access to the spa without having to pay extra

La grandeur de la chambre était super la vue sur l'eau incroyables le lit était confortable

Pas de micro onde, pas de petit four, pas de bouilloire pour faire un thé les porte patio était sale dommage car la vue est belle et le spa n'est pas inclus il faut payer pour y accéder je trouve que le prix de la chambre est très cher pour si peu d'accessoires dans la chambre

Bel hôtel, confortable, propre, bien situé sur le lac, WoW !

L'hôtel est très bien situé. La chambre avait vue sur le lac tel que je l'avais demandé. La chambre est spacieuse, moderne, une table sur roulette peut servir de bureau mais aussi de table pour prendre un lunch, c'est très bien pensé. Lits et literie confortables. Il y a un sofa en cuir côté salon, il est beau, confortable, il semble récent. Grande porte patio donnant sur le balcon avec chaises adirondack, rampes transparentes, très belle vue. Lever du soleil sur le lac. WoW !

Cons:

Il me semble que de si belles chambres et bien aménagées devraient être équipées d'un four micro-onde, il y en a un en bas dans le lobby mais ce n'est vraiment pas commode donc on ne l'utilise pas. Une machine à glace sur l'étage devrait aussi être installée. Il manque de prises pour charger les cellulaires dans les chambres, dans notre chambre prévue pour 4 personnes, il n'y avait qu'une seule prise sur la table de chevet. /// Lorsque l'on consulte le site web de l'hôtel, tout est en anglais. Ma facture m'est parvenue en anglais, c'est irritant, nous sommes au Québec, la langue officielle est le français. Heureusement, le personnel s'adresse à nous en français.
