We had amazing experience...hotel is new and well maintained
Fantastic restaurant, guest services, and the tour guide/driver Deepak Singh was very good.
The room was great but it was the service at the restaurant that was rather very disappointing. I mean, the staff sure struggle to understand instructions for the food that is being prepared.
Twice I had ordered butter chicken in boneless and instead got served with bones. The dining staff looked confused and were extremely slow with giving out the food to us.
We had to wait too long to even get a cup of coffee and it was all disappointing. The prices are a bit off the charts, especially a bowl of yoghurt that was around Rs.140/-.
Despite trying hard to explain to the restaurant staff, they often looked puzzled and lost. The service certainly needs to improve and the staff need to be proactive and have a sense of understanding to adapt to different situations.
Hotel is good but the surroundings are not impressive at all. The house keeping service is pretty normal and you have to be little careful about laundry service and especially the billing for it. In house wifi is having trouble- very slow and poor signal. Overall I was ok ok.
The hotel is cheating in final bills as they are charging service tax and then GST , which is illegal. After i argued and threatened that i will complain they have deducted service tax.
โรงแรมดี
It is a great hotel, clean, With all amenities of a modern hotel, customer service is awesome, and their restaurant specially the breakfast buffet is the best. The hotel is a little far from town and the temples. They arranged transportation to and from the main attractions. The best part is the hotel is 10 minutes away from the airport.
The staff at this property is top notch, from the front desk folks to the dining staff, A+! We appreciated everything that they did to make our stay good.
The property itself could handle some TLC.... The bedding is very old and worn, including some holes. Along with not the best attention to detail when cleaning (look at floors around doors)
Reception and Front Office staff is excellent and very helpful. Restaurant waiters are great! Food and Beverage department needs to work faster. Service from the kitchen is slow.
Terrible hotel. Lobby looks good. Once you go to room, you will see the hell. Dirty yellow marks on the bed sheets. Yack! Lot of left over hair on the bed sheets and bathroom. Shower water is hell. All of a sudden it pumps real hot and then real cold. Very rude and confusing staff. One person talks very demanding and rude, other person talks very confusing. Restaurant is terrible. We became sick after eating at restaurant.
It is so rare to find a hotel that really cares about you as a person, as opposed to you as a profit vehicle. I had a major problem with another hotel while in Bodh Gaya and the staff at the Oaks found me a room at a discounted rate. They could have charged me anything and I would have paid it but they saw I was in need of some compassion and helped me out.
The facility is in great shape, rooms are comfortable and modern and the food is absolutely wonderful. It's not super near the Mahabodhi Temple but that means it's much quieter then closer hotels.I would highly recommend this hotel for many reasons but mainly for the people who work there.
The food was very good and they made efforts to include variety of dietary preferences.
Le meilleur choix d'hôtel pour Bodh Gaya. La chambre était tout à fait correcte. Le petit déjeuner laisse à désirer.
Unless you have your own vehicle not conveniently located for taxi or rickshaws
Good facilities and rooms but average staff and service. Suggest not to hire the hotel car. We hired one to drive us to Patna (4 hours) and it was the worst experience ever - terrible driver.
The good thing about the Oaks is that it is new, and they haven't had much of an opportunity to let it get shabby yet. I expect that they will. The staff is very nice, but I can't believe that any of them have ever stayed in a well-run hotel, or even visited one.
The wifi is nearly totally useless. I could get my mail, but that was about it.
The hotel is outside of Both Gaya, located across from a power station and next to some huge diesel generators. It would not have been my first choice for a spot to locate a hotel. We had a car, but you can take a cab or tuktuk to town. Most of the other guests were on tour buses.
The folks in the restaurant were also pretty clueless about how to prepare food and serve it. By 9AM, the breakfast buffet was pretty dismal. I made the mistake of ordering a light dinner, which took 40 minutes to arrive. My friend ordered soup, which took an inexplicable 15 minutes. While I was there, some folks were seated at the next table. The ordered, waited 20 minutes and left.
The bottom line is that you can have the best facilities, and the nicest staff, but if you don't invest in training them, it is just a waste. I put this hotel's problems squarely at the feet of its ownership and top management.
Very good hotel just outside the bustle of BodhGaya and the airport is very close. Rooms are comfortable and moderately spacious. Good but not exceptional food. Very helpful staff.
