The room was a bit dated in terms of funature but bed was comfortable, staff were very professional and very helpful, we had breakfast every morning and it was fresh and good choice of food and tasty, we had the steak night and was really nice, the spa and sauna were very relaxing,

Great location
Everything was excellent
Beautiful location. Food pretty good in the restaurant. I didn't have much time there so didn't get to use any other facilities. It was unusually hot and there were no cooling facilities so a bit uncomfortable.
The shower was burning hot and unusable, and there was a sign saying don't change the setting! Staff were non-plussed when I informed them.
Breakfast was very good as was dinner. room was comfy and clean.
Dining areas and restaurant were clean and lovely. Most Staff were lovely and helpful.
The bath room was dirty especially the toilet seat. It wasn’t cleaned properly and I had to use toilet roll to clean the marks on the seat. The toilet cover was very stained. Bed was very uncomfortable. It was 2 singles put together and my side was too soft that I was sort of sinking into the bed. I couldn’t get comfortable throughout my stay. You could clearly see that there was a big difference in the height of the other side where my husband was sleeping. If he came close he would roll over onto me.

Lady on reception was very friendly on arrival and generally staff very friendly
I paid extra and booked an executive room with a sea view and had contacted the hotel prior to arrival to check we would definitely have a sea view and received a message stating that we would as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary alongside a weekend away watching a show.
On going to our room although it had a view overlooking the garden this was not a sea view I spoke with reception and eventually they did show me an alternative room but this was a lot smaller not an executive room so decided to stay where we were.
Rooms and decor are very tired and the toilet seat in our room was clearly stained by something and would cost little to replace which I mentioned also to reception. Photo attached.
We had booked an evening meal for our first night, food was nice but we were subsequently charged 3 times for this meal once on arrival, second time by the dining room and then again on our bill when leaving having to explain each time to have taken off the bill ( if this was a person that is not able to check there bill this is concerning). Positive breakfast is good.
We paid extra and used the spa and wished we hadn’t as there was scum marks all around each swim hot tub in the spa and water levels low and murky. Also we noticed a rancid sewage type smell in the reception area at times (hopefully not from the spa area).
The location is good as a little out of town and parking available at no extra cost which is one of the reasons for booking this hotel.
It was a shame also that they don’t keep the bar open until 11pm on a Saturday night as returning from the show just after 10:30pm we were not able to get a drink which we found odd in such a big hotel.
Although there were some positives we will not be returning as the cost we paid it defiantly was not good value for money.

My room was lovely and clean but dated, curtains didn’t draw fully and the flow from the shower was poor

Excellent, very clean, the staff all very friendly and helpful, breakfast good and hotel in a beautiful location, certainly go there again. 😀

The room was large and we loved it. The view was spectacular. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinner was brilliant. The waitress Louise was lovely and friendly. We will definitely return again. The walks fromt he hotel into town was fantastic.
