Pros:

The Location was great with good walks to Town. The Breakfast was excellent but the evening menu was a little light. We were a little surprised when we were informed that they had discontinued the GYM facilities which was one of the reasons we booked. But overall we would recommend the stay, our room had great views and was very comfortable.

Cons:

The evening menu was a little short and there was no gym

Brilliant value, high standards
Pros:

Just back from a 2 night DBB break, our second visit and I’m sure we’ll be back. Brilliant value. Had an executive king size room with lovely view over the sea, with 2 comfy chairs to enjoy it. Room and all public areas are well maintained and look recently decorated. Excellent 3 course dinners, and the best buffet breakfast in any hotel we’ve stayed in. My praise for the scrambled eggs, which I usually avoid from buffet, but theirs was delicious and buttery, not cold and rubbery as often the case. First day was lovely and sunny and we enjoyed a drink on the lovely patio with views. Next day very wet, and an employee was out there all day, pressure washing that patio. It’s definitely the best side of Torquay, quiet and leafy. Look out for the best deals on their own website.

Relaxing and inviting hotel. Great food. Excellent spa!
Pros:

Location on the coast stunning. Great atmosphere just relaxing, calm and cozy.
Breakfast fantastic and nice staff.
Staying here…I felt like I was in a Miss Marple book.

Cons:

All good. I think though paying for the spa each time you want to use is a bit steep, maybe a one off fee would be better? Use as many times as you want. The single room was really inviting, maybe could do with a spruce up, but spotlessly clean and great bed.

Nice stay, with a couple of tweaks, it could have been great.
Pros:

My mother and I stayed here as part of a travelzoo package for two nights.
Positives
- The room was a good size with comfortable beds and clean bathroom.
- The food at dinner was lovely and the staff were professional and friendly.
- The areas around the hotel are clean and well maintained.
- The spa facilities were nice, not too busy and clean.

Negatives
- We were on the first floor in room 132, which was above the dining room. Unfortunately, they play music at 8am in the morning so if you are after a lay in then ask for a room higher up ( there is a lift).
- Not the hotels fault, but due to this music, the people in the next room started thumping on our bedroom wall at 8am as they thought the music was coming from our room. Perhaps need to rethink music in the dining room at breakfast.
- There was a good hot selection for breakfast but was lacking in fresh fruit.
- As this was a Mother’s Day gift, I upgraded us to a club room and was told on the phone this would now include the spa access with this room type but on arriving they insisted that this was extra as we were on a travelzoo deal ( which had already been addressed during the phone conversation) so we ended up paying an additional £40 to use the spa during our stay.
- The housekeeping team made the beds but did not clear away dirty glasses etc in the room.
- The bath light pull cord was only about 10cm long from the ceiling. Luckily I’m nearly 6ft but my mother ( and the majority of people) couldn’t reach to turn the light on.

Over all we had a nice stay for the price of the deal.

Really good value for money, free parking, EV charger and lovely hotel gardens with stunning views
Pros:

Room was ok with tea & coffee making facilities. Nice large bathroom with bath and attached shower. Great choices for cooked breakfast, need more options for continental breakfast and also to repel wish the croissants & pastries as didn’t replenish!

Excellent facilities Excellent staff Excellent service Excellent Food
Pros:

Myself and friends stayed here in early March 2026 for their Sunday savers spa overnight stay.
This fabulous hotel offers the most fabulous all round service, food and facilities with staff that couldn't do enough for from reception, bar staff, beauty therapists and waiting staff.

I would like to mention one member of staff inparticular, Naomi who also served us when we came for an afternoon tea spa day in January.
On both occasions Naomi has gone above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed with her cheerful manner, always smiling, thank you Naomi.
We will definitely be returning soon.
