Our stay was truly unforgettable, and it was all thanks to the incredible people who made us feel at home from the very first moment until the very last!

A special thank you to Shuhei and Ryuji, who went above and beyond to make our experience so meaningful. They thoughtfully arranged a special anniversary surprise for us, greeted us with the warmest smiles every single day, and made us feel genuinely cared for in a way that went far beyond hospitality.

It’s one thing to stay in a beautiful hotel, but it’s the people who turn a lovely stay into a memory you’ll carry with you long after you leave. Shuhei and Ryuji did exactly that. Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and warmth truly changed our experience and made our anniversary even more special.

We left with full hearts and so much gratitude. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful experience, and we would come back in a heartbeat. ❤️

We felt a bit misled from the pictures.
Pros:

Very comfortable bed, very kind and attentive reception staff! The bathtub was nice and the breakfast was ok.

Cons:

The property is more of a building with apartments, rather than a 5 star hotel. And it’s definitely due for some renovation and better towels.
There is no lobby, no restaurant or dining area, no garden or anything rather than the reception and the rooms. There is no coffee machine in the room, so you have to go to a coffee shop in the neighborhood. It’s located quite far from any attractions or the shopping district. I was quite disappointed, that none of the decorations or flowers or any accessories for the bathtub shown on the pictures were actually present in the room. We could not feel the Japanese ryokan vibe that we hoped for..

Lovely experience in a western/japanese style room.Bath was very special as well.
Pros:

Very pretty hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the area with nearby restaurants and easy walking. The staff were unbelievably helpful and pleasant. The amenities, room was very well appointed.

Cons:

It was a little far from the train station so we used buses to get to city center. Buses could be crowded and often couldn’t get a seat, but they were clean and timely.

Look for better options.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, as in whole Japan

Cons:

The reality was far away from pictures presented. First, use google street to see the reality. Two, smells in the apartment - at random you could smell toilet odors. Three, actual bathroom. Forget about candles, plants provided on the pictures. Four, breakfast is being delivered to your room as is (no actual selection)., If you are not into Japanese style (miso soup, raw fish, rice, etc.) you could ask for a "western style" one, with cold fried eggs. Our family skipped those as well. There is no common area. The hotel is actually a house converted into separate rooms, pretty used furniture, carpet and scratches on the wall. The location itself, too far for walking around the city, uber on daily usage.

Top quality traditional Japanese hotel
Pros:

Very helpful staff, excellent traditional breakfasts served In the room. Bed very comfortable and top quality bedding

Pros:

浴槽の信楽焼きと高濃度の水素風呂が完備されていて、京都旅の暑さや疲れを癒されて、極上のリラクゼーションと浴室のミュージックにて、心身共にリフレッシュ出来ました。とても贅沢な時間を過ごせました。

Cons:

Beautiful boutique hotel
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! It is a small boutique hotel with I think only 8 rooms. It is in a quiet area of Kyoto which has a number of cute local coffee and gallery spaces nearby. There are lots of accomodation options in Kyoto - we chose this one because they offer a traditional Japanese breakfast that can be prepared gluten free. It did not disappoint and was an excellent way to start our days! But beyond that, I’m so happy we decided to stay here as it was a beautiful room which gave us a great base for exploring.

Our room was on the top floor, it was a great size, the bed comfy and the tatami seating area was a lovely addition giving us a nice spot to rest after days of walking. A highlight is the bath and the ability to have relaxing music played within that area. The reception is staffed 24 hours. The staff were very kind and helpful. I hope that we can visit again in the future!
