The property was conveniently located, and accessible to most amenities. However, beds were uncomfortable and the noise level made it difficult to sleep. I appreciated that parking was convenient and a workout facility was close by.

Good solo travel option
Pros:

I found this a great place to stay as a solo female traveller. It felt safe, and although a little warn down everything was cleaner than I expected. Having access to the pool and gym was also nice. It had tge benefits of a hostel while being able to have your own space.

Pros:

One morning of our stay, hot water pipe broke and then our faucet started squeaking randomly and then there were RATS on our floor ! Then we couldn’t use the elevator for a bit.

The people at the front desk didn’t seem to know anything and the place didn’t come with shampoo, conditioner.

The sink’s water pressure was bad and the beds were hard. But there was lots of space to lounge around in the room.

Do not attempt in a heat wave
Pros:

Not having A/C in the summer heat wave and the washrooms under renovation was not a pleasant experience. We booked 2 nights but could not sleep in the heat with the poor fan provided. We decided to check out and cut our vacation short a day. This was not an easy thing to do with cancelation policies.

Pros:

The Dalhousie house is a poor value and not set up well, a single bed (which we did not mind), a kitchen with no stove or utensils or cups in the room. A community kitchen down the hall with no cooking utensils, they have a sign that you can RENT cooking utensils. I have Stayed at Hostels across the world that were nicer and provide more value than this place. If you have to rent cooking and eating that is a joke. We checked out early and cancelled our last night just for the idea of this and found a much better and least expensive AirBnb an hour away.

The check-in staff was pleasant and nice, the rooms were clean. The location is excellent. This could be a very value and more traveler friendly.

Pros:

It was quiet and had what I needed. The bed was a little high off the ground. 24 hr safe was nice and lots of security. I would suggest sign reminders for people to take lint out of dryers cause it was crazy full

It was pretty good, there are shared bathrooms but they’re nice and clean! The door to your room does not auto lock when you close it. The room itself was pretty small and the curtains were dusty and the room smelled stale.

Larger than expected and very convenient to have 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom for my family. Clean, quiet and quite comfortable. Easy drive to sites and restaurants.

Pros:

Great place for a great price. Very clean.
My only complaint is the rooms aren't air conditioned.
I'd keep my window open all day and despite the temperatures dropping to 10-12C, the room never cooled off.
They included a small fan which did help when aimed right at me while I slept.
