TreeCasa Hotel & Resort

The location was perfect for sightseeing and the hotel staff made us feel at home. The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was also delicious. I highly recommend this hotel

I spent Sunday Day Pass with my son´s family and my wife. It was a nice experience for us, specially my two grandaugthers, 12 and 8 yrs. old. They envoyed swim and food.
I was surprised for the quality of service the waiter of the restaurant, Nestor, was well informed about the dishes and ingredients and his oustanding care on F&B services.
Then we spent two nigths three day stay at the hotel, room 22. We where gratefully surprised for a kind message of congratulation on our wedding anniversary, handritten by the General Manager Maria Aburto, along with a delicious dessert with a message in the tray. That was a touchy detail, very much appreciated by my wife Alicia and myself.
We enjoyed the trip to the private beach, a real private one, in wich only visitors from the hotel can go. The beach is a superb spot to swim in open waters, a sport I do practice from time to time. The guy in charge of transportation, carried drinking water and had good information about Mixcal Beach, the name of the Beach.
Later on, we did the organic garden tour. It´s impressive the level of organization they have to take care of various kinds of vegetables and herbs they produce for the hotel, as well as organic humus, among other things. The guy in charge of the tour, Oscar, was very well informed about all the processes. Later on, we had the opportunity to talk to the agricultural engineer in charge of all the garden, Osman, and its very interesting the integral vision they have on the garden and the care they put on quality control of processes and produces.
Finally, a note on the hotel facilities. The rooms and walkways where built very carefully, without causing impact on the topography. The mountain conserves its original trees, including natural fauna like the houler monkeys and little "chocoyos" the small parrots endemic on the zone. One unforgetable experience was to receive the visit of a whole family of monkeys right in front to our room´s balcony. They where so quiet and confident, that you guess they are very familiar to non-dangerous humans -like we are- contrary to some agressive people, sometimes common in our third world countries.
The ocean view complex is a nice place to observe the beauty of the San Juan Bay and surroundings from a nice place with pools and party place for great groups or corporations.
I decided to write this review, because we enjoyed a lot our stay in this nice hotel.
I recomend to any one who wants to have a quiet experience, visit Treecasa complex in San Juan del Sur, in order to have a visit like the ones we had.

Tree Casa is an experience that everyone need to do while on vacation in San Juan del Sur.
This place is magical beautiful great staff and customer service and the offer private tour to a virgen beach with in their property with shudule waters and towel for free if you stay with them, I highly recommend Tree Casa

It’s so beautiful and feels so special!

Treecasa was a beautiful and authentic experience full of special staff members like Johan, Ramiro, Francisco and Josue- who made everything so so pleasant! The food is fantastic, ambience is amazing! The shuttle drivers are kind and friendly. The grounds are stunning.

We had the deluxe family suite, it was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable- pillows not cheap hotel pillows!

It was almost perfect until check out. The process takes about 15 min because they check your room before you’re allowed to check out. I was asked about a hand towel which I did not know where I left. This seems a bit over the top, I could not remember where I left a random hand towel with two bathrooms and 4 of us.

This was not disclosed to me in the check in process, that check out would be a diffferent/ lengthier process. As a traveler, booking transportation as well, it’s very important to let the guest know to allow 15-20 min for check out.

This was especially frustrating since I checked out one day earlier, they could resell the room. While I was waiting the table behind me was full of staff members sitting on their phones- giving no space for me to wait. The front desk lady was neutral and clear but not very warm or gracious.
I was not asked once how my stay was. This was the final taste left in my mouth and it just means I’ll be back and looking forward to the improvements.

In addition, I’ve worked in travel for 15 years and this is a non standard check out process which again needs to be disclosed if it’s policy.

Loved the place and the staff and food were excellent.

The cabbins were very pretty only there is no ocean view there but very comfortable. Pools are the main diversion for all family! Nice food! Decoration is very nice

Amazing stay at Treecasa resort! Incredible resort with so many swimming pools, waterslide, jumping platform! The food was so delicious at the restaurant as well. We loved our room, super spacious and the bed was so comfortable!

Beautiful hotel

Such a beautiful resort. Highly recommend. It has something for everyone. It is very beautiful.

I never write negative reviews, but I feel travelers need to be warned. The property itself is beautiful. It is poorly thought out in regard to noise and privacy. All the balconies look at each other and they are not enclosed. At check in we were told of a wedding party, but that it wouldn’t be too bad. It went on until who knows what wee hour of the morning. It was basically like we were next to a night club. What kind of operation puts a noisy venue right next to places to sleep? Not the serene out in the jungle experience we were looking for. Then there is the issue of our ac being broken. We were told multiple times it was fixed, it was not. It blew room temperature (87 Fahrenheit) air. They blamed us for opening the balcony, which was only done briefly to see if maybe a cross breeze could cool the room a little, it was cooler outside than in. We moved at 8:30pm to a little duplex where the guy next to us was hacking up a storm all night. 4 times the flood light by the door beeped and turned on during the night. Making it look like daytime in the room. In the first room the shower didn’t drain. The beds was comfortable, sheets were nice. The futon was terrible two small pieces that didn’t push together. The pool was great, noisy with people not staying there, but that didn’t bother us it closes at 7PM. Since it is full of non guests I did not feel comfortable leaving my phone unattended to go in the pool. Restaurant was good, no service after we ordered.

Front desk agents were amazing! They were so kind one of the gentleman there helped us with our bags and even escorted us to our cabin. Best service I have ever received so far!

If you love nature, a quiet place to relax and exquisite local gastronomy, this is the place to be. I can’t describe it, you have to live your own experience. It is so magical that it helped me remember my childhood days how this place can have a significant impact. The pool area is beautiful and so is the private beach. You won’t regret it. The staff is friendly and eager to help you in any way to please you.

I had such high hopes upon arriving at this property, but the hospitality was nonexistent. I expected the treehouse to be a family friendly experience, but the property caters more to adult parties and day pass drinkers. We arrived on a Saturday and they were hosting a wedding. Music was thumping and instead of placing the rooms of the party-guests near the venue, they placed OTHER guests, like my family. This was incredibly inconsiderate. They could have easily avoided the issue by placing the party guests around the venue location. And place non-party guests away. They did the opposite. We were literally the room right next to the party. Needless to say we didn’t get any sleep. Wait staff ignored us. Reception disappeared. Messages to front desk via WhatsApp went unreturned. There are so many other less expensive treehouses in Nicaragua where you will receive superior service and be treated like a guest. If I wanted a thumping party, I would have stayed closer to the clubs in town, not in nature. Unbelievable disappointment. I was not the only guest to complain. The front desk manager smiled and offered a 10% discount on food purchases. I would have rather had a relaxing experience.

Sunday night, no wedding, but music BLASTING again. If you want a club scene, this place is for you. If you are a family, who wants relaxation, AVOID
