Amazing location for Blenheim Palace. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful, a credit to the hotel.
Nothing negative to comment
Clean and comfortable. Friendly efficient staff. Good communication prior to arrival regarding parking etc. Small cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good. Great location a short walk from Blenheim Palace.
Nothing really, although it was quite expensive as it was the Blenheim Palace Festival due to demand pricing but to be expected. Worth it to be able to walk home after the concert!
Perfect location to visit Blenheim Palace and surroundings
Everyone seemed to be checking in at the same time and I think it would have been more relaxed for the staff to have a few more people working
Staff went above & beyond to make our Anniversary stay extra special!
Nothing we didn’t like
Central location in very pretty Woodstock. We were there for an event at Blenheim Palace and there is a gate into the estate at the bottom of the road.
The property is an old historic site so higeldy, pigeldy and quaint but beautifully restored and very high end furnishings.
With two gorgeous restaurants one more high brow than the other but both equally luxurious with amazing food. It was really hot but I imagine the ‘nest’ indoors would be like a hug in winter.
The bed was gorgeous and had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time -
11am check out was also blissful!
There were two tiny niggles but related to the fact that we all returned to the hotel late post gig. There were complimentary mini bars but they were sparse and I would have expected availability to some items you could buy. They said that the concierge was available 24-7 but there was no food menu in the rooms so returning starving and all food options were exhausted. I ended up eating all of the complimentary food. But that was tiny and I wouldn’t imagine you would be late night food ordering on a general stay as it’s about relaxation.
Everything was fine and staff excellent
As above
Location was perfect, Hotel was clean and very stylish. Staff were very warm and friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was a godsend given we visited during a heatwave.
The bed was small and a little uncomfortable. The feature room we had booked and paid for had been double booked so we were given a lower category of bedroom. The Manager was extremely apologetic and provided us with complimentary breakfasts and a bottle of prosecco. We dined in the Aviary and unfortunately the food was underwhelming but quite expensive and our main courses came out separately. Finally we are pleased we didn’t have to pay for the breakfasts because they were very average.
This is a lovely hotel, it’s been furnished beautifully. The location is great. Friendly and helpful staff, Avairy staff worked so hard.
Great hotel. V minor points but a decent mirror in the bedroom and more space for clothes would make the rooms perfect.
Fantastic hotel
Everything was expetional
The staff member Julia was rude and not helpful at all.
Prior to check-in, the hotel reached out for names of guests and when I explained it eas a mother daughter weekend they very kindly offered to turn the room into twin beds for us. We didn't even have to ask. Very thoughtful. The staff at the hotel made the stay for us. Very personable, chatty and great advice about the surrounding area. Gorgeous evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. In particular evening meal was served by a young lady who did a 1st class job of efficient, friendly and the great skill of being very graceful whilst working quickly and efficiently. Free secure parking.
Welcoming staff, room clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities very good. Heating and cooling of room very good. Complimentary snacks and lemon drizzle cake provided on arrival. Excellent location for visiting Blenheim Palace and Woodstock village.
Not great value for money, especially as breakfasts are not included in the room rate and costs £25 pp to add on. Lots of excellent cafes in Woodstock offer more reasonable breakfast options.
Parking is a bit of a faff having to find the site, key in a code, open gates manually, drive in and park and then close gates manually both ways - arrival and departure.
Lovely
Steep narrow stairs but part of the charm
staff, breakfast, rooms, everything was just amazing!
