Signiel Seoul

This Hotel has the appearance of a 5 Star Hotel but in actuality, it does not deserve its 5 Star Rating, I’ve traveled to third world country hotels that had better service and customer support than this Hotel.

First off, I’m a Cig Smoker and they make no effort to educate themselves on where you can smoke around the area (this hotel does not have any floor for smoking or lounge of any sort, which is surprising for such a “grand” looking hotel) Don’t lecture to me about the smoking laws in Seoul, I Stayed at a 3 Star Hotel Prior to staying here that had a Literal Roof Top access for smokers (G2 Hotel).

Second off, the food is awful in the Room Service sense. The food was sort of tasteless. I often wonder if places like this even have their chefs taste the food before they serve it? Apparently not. I ordered a French Onion Soup the first day I got there and I was full blown exhausted, it was a Burnt French Onion Soup, I ate it regardless cause I was out of it but is it so difficult to make a French Onion Soup? A test I like to do in every Hotel I stay at that has Room Service, I like to ask for something simple that isn’t on their Menu like a Milk Shake to see if they will accommodate my extra needs (plus I really like MilkShakes) & this hotel could not muster simple ingredients to accomplish this, which is quite sad.

Thirdly, if you have problems with altitude or going up really high at extreme speeds, do not go to this hotel. It is almost extremely common for people to have discomfort and even pain whenever they are ascending or descending the elevator. It’s a very fast elevator, which is good if you don’t have time, but will definitely be extremely uncomfortable for people who have a sensitivity to that kind of thing. Plus the between getting to your room and outside is approx 7 mins which is extremely annoying hence me being a smoker or someone who has to leave the hotel or even if you just forgot something in your room. If they would have invested in a Slow moving elevator that doesn’t give you altitude sickness I would have taken that elevator every time.

Fourthly, for a Hotel on this supposed caliber god forbid they invest in some English tutors for their Staff, you know you have a problem when the literal Receptionists or Staff for that matter cannot speak clear English. There is no point in telling your concerns to people who cannot understand you, why should I use a translator app to communicate when it’s firstly just tedious using a translator app to communicate and secondly for this caliber of Hotel they should be use to International guests who only speak English.

Let’s talk about what was good with this Hotel. The porters outside are good at what they do when it comes to getting a taxi with ease for your required destinations. The bartenders at the Bar 81 I think it was called, they make a real effort to make you a drink that you want to drink, if it’s not good at first they will do their best with their little English vocabulary to make you a drink you enjoy. The view after you suffer altitude sickness is wonderful too.

I did not bring up any of these points with Hotel staff because I was just too fed up with my stay there. Not that it would matter anyways since no one really understands you there. At least here you can get a real take on this Hotel for those that really understand the words written here.

The Signiel hotel is a beautiful hotel. We are currently staying here for 7 nights . Room is perfect with outstanding views . Hotel is exceptionally well maintained. Room and public areas are extremely clean and very well serviced . Service is excellent . Our only complaint is that we are vegetarians and when we approached the restaurants , they would not accommodate any special requests for changes . We were told the menus could not be altered at all . This is very disappointing and surprising for a hotel at this level . We travel worldwide and top hotels always can make accommodations. Unfortunately, over our entire stay , we had to search out other restaurants.

Everything was top notch.

Seven years ago, we stayed at Signiel Seoul and were truly impressed. It was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
This time, it was the opposite — chaotic, indifferent, and utterly disappointing.
Check-in was a mess, there was no one at the front desk, and even our luggage was left unattended. We were forced to choose a breakfast time after long travel, only to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. The room was poorly prepared — no turndown service, and after a sleepless night I found the pillows had been placed the wrong way around.
Breakfast ends at 10 a.m. on a weekend, checkout is 11, and “late checkout” is noon. Everything feels built for staff convenience, not guest comfort.
We returned because we remembered how perfect it once was — the care, the elegance, even the small things like the fresh mango sliced in the room. All of that is gone. What remains is a hollow imitation of luxury.
Please do not reply with the usual “We hope you’ll come back and try again.”
We did come back — and it was a complete disaster.

체크인은 엉망이었고, 프런트 데스크에는 아무도 없었습니다. 짐은 홀로 방치되었습니다. 오랜 여행 끝에 도착했지만 아침 식사 시간을 강제로 정해야 했고, 결국 30분 이상을 기다려야 했습니다. 객실에는 턴다운 서비스조차 없었으며, 잠을 이루지 못한 채 아침에야 베개가 거꾸로 놓여 있었다는 사실을 알게 되었습니다.
주말임에도 조식은 오전 10시에 종료되고, 체크아웃은 11시, ‘레이트 체크아웃’은 정오까지입니다. 모든 것이 손님보다 직원의 편의를 위해 설계된 것처럼 느껴졌습니다.
저희는 예전의 완벽했던 시그니엘을 기억하며 다시 찾았습니다 — 세심한 배려, 우아함, 그리고 객실에서 직접 잘라 주던 신선한 망고 같은 작은 감동까지. 그러나 그런 것은 이제 없습니다. 남은 것은 ‘럭셔리’를 흉내 내는 빈 껍데기뿐입니다.
“다시 방문해 주세요” 같은 형식적인 답변은 하지 말아 주십시오.
우리는 이미 다시 방문했습니다. 결과는 완전한 재앙이었습니다.

Everything about the property was perfect. the little details, the warm greetings, the friendliness and professionalism, and the great amenities. We loved our stay so much that we’re already planning to come back for our next anniversary! -John Sul

This is top of the line luxury hotel with incredible view, impeccable service and very convenient location for shopping.

The hotel was excellent, everything was beautiful and service was great. But only one thing was not so great was the terrible traffic around the area, the traffic jam was terrible nearby day and night.

For my husband’s birthday dinner, we visited Stay by Chef Yannick Alléno, located at Hotel Signiel in Lotte World Tower. From the moment I made my reservation, the restaurant staff stayed in touch on emails and took care of every detail. They were so accommodating, making sure every dietary restriction and request was handled perfectly. I even booked a special cake for my husband, which they arranged beautifully.

The moment we entered the restaurant, we were mesmerised by the breathtaking view. We were given a lovely table and couldn’t stop admiring the beauty around us. The dinner itself was excellent. Since I wanted gluten-free and vegetarian options, a dish was customised just for me, and even the gluten-free bread was delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well.

Post dinner, guests were treated to an open dessert counter with plenty of sweet treats, and the macarons were a highlight. The hotel itself is stunning, soaring high above the city with the most sophisticated interiors and an understated luxury vibe that makes every corner photo-worthy. It feels special just being there.

Kudos to Chef Yannick’s team for curating such memorable dishes and to the wonderful hospitality staff who made the evening so special. This was truly the best restaurant we dined at in Seoul.

Just feel the hotel a bit crowded . Maybe like no seating available for the lounge; and lots of hassles getting breakfast with 2 timeslots etc coz too many people

I had an amazing stay at this hotel - the staff and service is outstanding, particularly Roy and Aria. The room was beautiful and of course the view was amazing. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Seoul

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Signiel Seoul. Roy was thoughtful and an outstanding partner to us as concierge, including helping us with dinner onsite and advice on KTX and ITX trains. Philip at Bicena was also an incredible host to us for dinner and went above and beyond. Highly recommend this well appointed and beautiful hotel.

Although a superb luxury hotel, bit disappointing to have to pay extra to use the pool and sauna.
