Gemütliche Übernachtungsmöglichkeit mit exzellenter Küche
Pros:

Die Lage ist perfekt: Eine Sanddüne vom Strand entfernt :), ziemlich in der Mitte zwischen dem Dorfzentrum (ca 10 min zu Fuß) und dem Fischerhafen (ca 15 min zu Fuß). Das Personal ist super nett, das Zimmer war komfortabel (auch wenn etwas hellhörig, hat mich aber nicht gestört, weil nachts ruhig war). Das Restaurant ist sehr beliebt und serviert vorzügliches Essen. Reservierung ist unbedingt erforderlich. Am ersten Abend hat mir das Essen so gut geschmeckt, dass ich gleich für den nächsten Abend reserviert habe :). Für die Gäste des Hauses war frisch zubereitetes Frühstück im Zimmerpreis enthalten. Lecker!

Pros:

Food outstanding! Meals were so good we decided to eat there both nights of our stay instead of exploring the restaurants in town

Wifi not great but I assume its because of the location and not the fault of The Sail Loft

Food and staff excellent. Let down by accommodation
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent the staff were great. The bedroom was shabby stained very tired cushions. Door locks were difficult, no wardrobe and missing handle on dresser where tea and coffee were placed. Chest of drawers ill fitting and breakfast should be available from 8am onwards. Far too expensive stay for room quality.

overall good will not stay at the Sail Loft again though like to get what I order.
Pros:

good breakfast

Cons:

the menu stated cod and chips but when it was served up it was haddock which is a cheaper variety than cod when I queried this with the staff all I got was oh sorry, not quite good enough I think.

A great place to stay in Southwold, a stone's throw from the beach, the food and staff are fab!
Pros:

Great location, just a 7 minute stroll into town and right opposite the beach. Our room was lovely with its own balcony and lovely views of the countryside. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was excellent - especially the prawns!

Cons:

Our room (Room 1) could have done with a full length mirror and there was limited parking for residents.

We’ll happily return!
Pros:

Great location with lovely views out in two different directions. Comfy bed and good room facilities. Excellent breakfast and staff who were friendly and helpful with anything we needed.

Cons:

Nothing to not like! The only point would be to be aware that lovely room 5 has a deep bath (no shower) and can be a bit of a challenge to get out of!!
