clean, simple, great location
nothing
Nice breakfast.
Booking.com showed "private parking". The correct description is "private parking; limited spaces; book in advance; extra cost". I did not see the constraints until after booking. Fortunately, the kind receptionist went out of her way to obtain a parking space for us.
Location, nice styling, Brasserie, decent sized bedroom , excellent breakfast
Bedroom a bit plain, accessible bathroom (shower floods everywhere)
I know Tunbridge Wells well. I have now moved to Crowborough and stayed while the scaffolding going up on our roof. The layout of the hotel is still awkward but I knew that when invited to the opening party.
The rooms are spacious, cool and the bathrooms have an excellent fit out.
I was waiting for a taxi to return home and an American couple (international travellers) asked several wuestions of Reception who had no idea. They also asked about laundry and dry cleaning, again no idea. I have been a director of boutique hotels and found this shocking. I ended up helping them personally.
Nice staff, room clean, great AC and amazing location !
Great location, in the heart of the historic part of town
After the air conditioning broke down in my room, I was moved to a smaller room, in the attic (with 47 narrow steps to reach the room), without a view, no chair and a poorly designed bathroom.
Proximity to town convenience of parking beautiful room excellent breakfast
Pestered by emails with links that didn't work
All fab
Nothing
Nice room, had this one before. Great location.
Nothing.
Large room, ok facilities, close to centre.
Couldn't check in earlier, despite the fact they were clearly not full, it was pouring down and we had been driving for 5 hours, they made us wait until the last minute. Reeception staff were temporary and unable to help, and the regular staff were uninterested. The hotel is really lovely but its obviously having a lot of cost cutting measures that are impacting on the quality of the hotel. Parking was down the road which was inconvenient due to the rain, we were lead to believe it was on site.
Great location and clean hotel
Over priced for what it is. Very standard decor!
The staff are very welcoming and very attentive.
The hotel is very well presented and clean.
The bar in the main hotel is staffed by the reception.
As they aren't trained bar staff, there is confusion on how to make drinks, and the drinks selection is very limited.
Our breakfast was also cold
Really nice hotel with great location. Very pleasant check in staff.
Nothing
Would NOT recommend this hotel. We had issues with our stay, which we tried to raise with staff, also by handing over a feedback form to reception, and leaving an email and telephone number , and still no response from the hotel. I followed up with an email once I got home, and a week later, still no response. We paid £300 a night for a room with bathroom issues. Tepid water, one towel . No bathmats. A shower that sprayed water everywhere. It was actually slippy and dangerous as the bathroom floor was tiled. The staff were young and I would guess not trained in hospitality or how to deal with complaints. It wasn't the luxury experience you would hope for.
