The Belle Rive Boutique Hotel

This hotel is fantastic. It really is a treat.
The room was spotlessly clean and had all accessories needed. The breakfast on the terras with a view of the Mekong River was very good. It’s à la carte and you can choose whatever you want. Everything is provided.
The personnel is very friendly.
What makes the hotel special is all the extras:
-free minibar
-free fruits
-free Mekong river cruise
-free use of bicycles
It’s a more expensive hotel but worth every penny.

The location of this hotel is exceptional - on the banks of the Mekong river with a lovely river view. The hotel itself is an old colonial building, lovingly restored for elegance and comfort. The staff were absolutely lovely - everyone from restaurant to front desk to cleaning staff went way out of their way to make our stay perfect. The included breakfast was a highlight of our day - fantastic latte, freshly made eggs to order with fresh croissant, pain au chocolat, fruit plate, bacon, freshly squeezed juice - it was an amazing feast with attentive service! Sitting on the restaurant terrace sipping our latte and eating our breakfast looking out over the Mekong River was the highlight of our day.

Everything was beautiful and of great service. We loved it here.

Les chambres étaient toujours impeccables & des petites douceurs étaient déposées tous les jours .

Great location, in a quiet corner of town, but less than a 3 min stroll to all the action, and a 5-7 min stroll to the night market. The location overlooking the Mekong is great. The breakfast overlooking the Mekong is great, we also had lunch and dinner the hotel’s restaurant and the food is fabulous! The minibar was complimentary and they also offered a complimentary sunset cruise- nice little touches that we appreciated. They did our laundry and a small fee, and the clothes came back promptly and folded. Mr Somphone at the reception helped us book train tickets and he and the other staff were greats

Loved the balcony looking towards the Makong River. Quiet away from the main streets with a lovely breeze. The style of each room is very different. Ask for a balcony! Wonderful staff

We were delighted with the quiet location on one end of town facing the Mekong. The property is charming, quaint, and has soul, and the team of lovely professionals could be more warm and gracious. They went out of their way to ensure we had a marvelous stay.

I highly recommend Belle Rive Boutique Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, in a perfect location. But what was really special was the kindness of every staff member. Breakfast was exceptional and the view from the terrace overlooking the Mekong was wonderful.

What a pleasure to stay in this very nice hotel !. Very well located to visit by foot all main sites of this peaceful and lovely town. The free bikes allow nice rides in the town , which is not too much crowdy. The ferry departure to cross the river is near to the hotel and the bike ride on the other side of the river to visit the other Wats is easy and nice. The hotel offers a lovely sunset cruise on the river. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and diner with very well prepared and tasty meal. And don't forget to take the time to benefit from the relax zone just above their aromatic garden and the river . The room is perfect and big , with nice balcony. On top of that all team is so kind and helpful. We stayed 3 nights but would have enjoyed to stay longuer!

A real pleasure to be in such a nice hotel. Location is perfect to visit all main town sites by foot. The free bicycles are nice to ride in the town streets which are not too much crowded and the access to the ferry to go across the rivers is not far from the hotel. On the otherside cycling is also nice on a cycling path to the other wat .The free sunset boat trip organised by the hotel was perfect. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and diner with views on the river. And finally after your town tour take the time to benefit from their relax zone just above their aromatic garden. All team is very nice and helpful.Efficient and quick laundry.

February - 2026. We had two stays bookending our time in Luang Prabang. So many great things to report. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities great, breakfast on the terrace Mekong River side was a treat with an al a carte menu and great coffee. The location is very convenient for exploring the local area and very walkable to attractions, shopping, and cafes. We even received a complementary sunset Mekong River cruise. The property and surrounding area is very quiet at night and we slept well. This property shines bright as a true boutique lodging with very good service standards. Good Job!

Great hotel in a beautiful, central riverside location. The restaurant offers great sunset views and the staff are exceptional, especially the breakfast team . The reception staff too are friendly, efficient and helped us plan all our trips arpund Luang Prabang. Our stay included a sunset cruise too. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant surprise on our first visit to Laos. A lovely hotel located in an amazing location overlooking the Mekong.
Rooms are very nice, the breakfast and other meals served in the restaurant were very good.
Luang Prabang we will be back
