The Belle Rive Boutique Hotel

The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of food. Dinner was a romantic view of the Mekong River. The location is beautiful, close to the center of Luang Prabang. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. I would recommend it to my friends.

Service and location

Belle Rive was the perfect base to explore this lovely city with well-maintained bicycles at our disposal too. Staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast and drinks overlooking the Mekong very special. Beds and pillows so comfortable - slept v well!

The room was spotlessly clean and had all accessories needed. The breakfast on the terras with a view of the Mekong River was very good. It’s à la carte and you can choose whatever you want. Everything is provided.
The personnel is very friendly.

-free use of bicycles
It’s a more expensive hotel but worth every penny.

The hotel location is perfect. It overlooks the river, within an easy walking distance from major attractions, yet a couple of streets away from the noise of the main street. The almgiving procession is just behind the hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Service is friendly and excellent.

The hotel is right next to the Mekong river, with breakfast served looking out on that view. Rooms have that old heritage colonial feel which gives a nod to times past!

The location of this hotel is exceptional - on the banks of the Mekong river with a lovely river view. The hotel itself is an old colonial building, lovingly restored for elegance and comfort. The staff were absolutely lovely - everyone from restaurant to front desk to cleaning staff went way out of their way to make our stay perfect. The included breakfast was a highlight of our day - fantastic latte, freshly made eggs to order with fresh croissant, pain au chocolat, fruit plate, bacon, freshly squeezed juice - it was an amazing feast with attentive service! Sitting on the restaurant terrace sipping our latte and eating our breakfast looking out over the Mekong River was the highlight of our day.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. All the staff were fantastic too.

Great location, in a quiet corner of town, but less than a 3 min stroll to all the action, and a 5-7 min stroll to the night market. The location overlooking the Mekong is great. The breakfast overlooking the Mekong is great, we also had lunch and dinner the hotel’s restaurant and the food is fabulous! The minibar was complimentary and they also offered a complimentary sunset cruise- nice little touches that we appreciated. They did our laundry and a small fee, and the clothes came back promptly and folded. Mr Somphone at the reception helped us book train tickets and he and the other staff were greats

Loved the balcony looking towards the Makong River. Quiet away from the main streets with a lovely breeze. The style of each room is very different. Ask for a balcony! Wonderful staff

We were delighted with the quiet location on one end of town facing the Mekong. The property is charming, quaint, and has soul, and the team of lovely professionals could be more warm and gracious. They went out of their way to ensure we had a marvelous stay.

We stayed two nights at the Belle Rive Boutique Hotel in Luang Prabang in Laos and loved it! We picked this hotel online because the hotel that my wife had stayed at several years ago was fully booked. We read reviews, did some online research and chose the Belle Rive Hotel both for it's location and reasonable price. The location right across one street from the Mekong River was beautiful and it was very close to walking to everything in Luang Prabang. The room was expansive with windows looking out over the Mekong River. The breakfast included with the room stay was delicious; served in their restaurant overlooking the Mekong River. All of the staff that we encountered (especially Somphon at the front desk) were very friendly and spoke enough English for us to communicate well. We also had a two-hour evening sunset cruise on the Mekong River which was great. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying overnight in Luang Prabang.
