Atmosphere, Breakfast options, staff 😀
just making sure that staff and patrons are made aware of pool hours. The Sunday Brunch had a few staff and myself confused about pool availability. Also one call said pool closed at 10, another time I was told 11
Room clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good.
The service was excellent. All were friendly and accommodating.
Only a couple minor issues. Our room was quite warm when we arrived and it took several hours for the a/c to cool it down. Although it was summer, the single blanket on the bed was a heavy comforter. It would have been nice to have an option of a lighter blanket.

Pool was closed due to maintenance, breakfast voucher ($6) did not cover full cost of a decent breakfast, staff authorized door key for one night instead of two nights ( despite pre- booking) and also handed out only one breakfast voucher for one day at a time, internet seemed to be slow at times, bathtub anti slip features was worn down and no additional anti slip mat provided, bedding was either a very warm winter quilt or a thin summer blanket, complimentary coffee of poor quality.
It was really close to the Aquatic Centre, which is why we were there, so that was good. It was clean, and although the building was dated, the beds have been updated and were very comfy. Bathrooms are large, which is basically a miracle for a hotel these days.
Pool was “down for maintenance” and there was no indication prior to checking in that this was the case, even though the sign indicating this was quite worn, so this either happens frequently, or it has been out of commission for awhile. Charging 150$/night when you don’t have the one amenity that justifies that price is dishonest.

The bartender was wonderful, good was good in the pub.
The Cafe, I had a problem. They made me feel like I was a problem. I had asked for a couple coffees to go.. whether they we understaffed, I don't think so.. but there was 6 people in the Cafe. They could have been alot more polite. I just walked out. They were grumpy, and acted like I was a bother.

The bed and pillows were not very good for a good sleep.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant food is good value and tasty.
