Good Not Great
Pros:

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The building is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Convenient free parking.

Cons:

Driving onto the grounds, the signage was confusing as to where the hotel entrance was located. Given the property’s price point and luxury feel, we were surprised the rooms had plastic cups and motel quality toiletries. There was no room service and no staff to help with luggage or respond to requests for a bottle opener or cutlery - we had to come down and get it for ourselves.

Schönes historisches Hotel
Pros:

Cons:

Vergleichsweise kleine Zimmer obwohl das Hotel sehr viel Fläche bietet.

Pros:

Historical location, beautiful rooms

Cons:

They have no process for late checkout requests. Fully understanding that late-checkouts are not a guarantee and are available upon request, but I called the morning of the scheduled checkout date and they said they’d call me back but never did. I even offered to pay a fee for late checkout but it never materialized. Very hard on us after a Fourth of July weekend stay.

The perfect Buffalo stay
Pros:

What a joy to stay in one of America's great architectural masterworks! So much history, so many stories. Airy beautiful public spaces, comfortable rooms, lots of nooks and crannies to explore, great museum downstairs which tells the history of the building and the patients it once housed. Moments away from the Albright-Knox Gallery and the Burchfield Penny, short drive from downtown. Highest recommendation!
