Otroligt otrevlig personal, ostädat, ingen bar, väldigt dålig frukost
Restaurant was closed. TV didn’t work. Front desk receptionist, Jessica, was rude and unpleasant.
I arrived to check in at the hotel and they overbooked and no longer had the suite we reserved through Expedia. It would have been nice to be notified in advance rather than being disappointed on the spot. Fortunately they had a Double Room but not ideal for a married couple celebrating a birthday.
The Richardson is a unique hotel as it is one of HH Richardsons architectural masterpieces that was fortunately saved from the wrecking ball and is gradually being restored for various uses, the Hotel being the first of those. It is luxury priced but you are really paying to live in a piece of history. The breakfast is a simple continental, and the restaurant that used to be in the building is closed, but plenty of dining & shopping options are steps away in Elmwood. The decor with all of the historical photos plus the architectural museum on the lower level is excellent. A place you need to stay in at least once. We normally stay at my cousin’s but since we weren’t able to on this trip, we chose the Richardson.
Beautiful building! The only drawback was that there was not restaurant or bar operating in the building, yet. They did offer many recommendations in the area, however. Service was good.
Could have used some coffee this morning but everything wS empty
Did not use the gym . Clean room and grounds was nice .
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The building is a true work of art, and everything inside is beautiful. The room was very clean, staff was friendly, and the area is quiet and scenic. It has a lot to offer guests, such as breakfast and even tours in the morning. We will definitely be coming back!
Room was beautiful
Breakfast was terrible
The hotel is in a lovely, historic building, but that is where its charm begins and ends. I
No bar or restaurant
Trouble with usb outlets — none worked
Great building& nice room
Unique, funtoexplore, wide and long hallways, interesting exhibit on renovationon 1st floor, nice central location.
Property has so much character. Lovely place with the charm expected from a renovated building.
Limited tv channels. No housekeeping services for us the 3 days we stayed. I did ask and received an adjustment of my bill.
The hotel is beautiful we were there forb4 days and we never seen anyone on our floor it was like we had the hotel to ourselves.
The grounds were unique having the old buildings still standing showing their wear and tear. The hotel offers tours about the history of the area
Excellent
I liked the historic feel of the building; it has an old-world charm, if slightly rundown. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. I splurged on a suite, and due to travel slowdowns, checked in at 11 p.m. The bar was already closed, and the offerings from their "store" were extremely limited, and there were no close convenience stores or restaurants near the location. In the morning, I went to use the in-room coffee machine pod set up that was on a bar in the living room, but not only was it not plugged in, it was far away from any usable outlet. Also, when I went to use the iron and ironing board, the board was out of sorts and needed to be repaired. I hope they can make some thoughtful adjustments to ensure their rooms are fully ready in the future.
This hotel was absolutely stunning!!! Loved all the historical touches and would definitely stay again if I was in the area. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Had an amazing stay at the Richardson. Such a beautiful property. Very comfortable room. Staff members were incredibly nice. Would definitely recommend.
