Pros:

Very cool history and old architecture!

Cons:

Food was average. Chicken seemed it was frozen food, not fresh. The bar didn't have beer selection and why don't you have local brewery beers?⁸

Do not compare to a hotel or an inn, but to a stay in a French chateau
Pros:

This is not a casual hotel, it's a museum. You contribute to the fund to preserve an historical monument. As such, there are some concessions to be made, but overall, it's a great experience. Parking is free and great, location is unbeatable for the AKG. Rooms are tall, quiet, and confortable. My air conditioning worked well, but the fan was a bit noisy.

Cons:

You live on a campus near a psychiatric hospital, which could make some people uneasy. There were ants in my room, but I left blueberries on the desk. Once the blueberries were removed, the ants were gone. I did see a falcon with its prey on top of a car in the parking lot, so there's that. No mini refrigerator in the room. The dining room is small, and breakfast is not included. Despite the limited choices, food was good.

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and the beds were comfy.

Cons:

I wouldn't say I didn't like anything. I was nervous about sleeping in an old mental hospital. I slept great and would stay again.

Exceptional Support from Devery, Jeff, and The Richardson Hotel Team
Pros:

We had a wonderful experience working with The Richardson Hotel for our recent program. The team was responsive, flexible, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and onsite execution.

A special thank you to Devery and Jeff for their support. Devery was patient, solution-oriented, and communicative as we worked through final details and last-minute needs. Jeff and the onsite team were also very helpful in making sure the event ran smoothly and that our team felt supported.

We truly appreciated the professionalism, hospitality, and willingness to jump in and help find solutions. Thank you to The Richardson Hotel team for being such great partners!
