Cottage employees were very nice. Good food and clean cottages. The atmosphere is calming and peaceful. Our tour guide provided lots of education about the site. Will recommend this as a great place to start for first time camping experience. Took me back to my childhood camping days.
Amazing place
Beautiful property in the jungle. so peaceful, everything is made of wood and the quality of the rooms outstanding!
I enjoyed the scenery and environment from our stay. It was relatively quaint and quiet.
Great cottage feel nestled in the jungle. Lots of howler monkeys (the loudest I’ve ever heard) and birds all visible from the property.
I loved the grounds beautiful views
It was very quiet and relaxing
Made a person feel safe with security at the gate
Staff was very friendly and helpful
I enjoyed my stay at the lodge.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating for our school trip. There were many trails that we hiked through to look at all of the wild life that is offered by Belize. We got to see howler monkeys and many different species of colorful birds! There is a pool available to relax after a day of adventure with amazing views of the jungle! overall a very good experience.
This was a beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We saw lots of birds, including a toucan, and howler monkeys. There is a lot to see on the property especially if you like to bird-watch. Highly recommended.
On a class trip I spent my first two days/nights here and honestly it really set the mood for the trip. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the amazing views begin as soon as you enter the resort. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms were large and really well done. I spent time walking around and taking pictures and honestly have about 500 magnificent photos from all around the grounds of the resort. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants the comfort of vacation with the beauty and sounds of Belize!
We had a great experience at Juntos! The location was not too far off from the main road, and yet the resort had such great views of the river and open landscapes. The cottages that we stayed in were beautiful, and had sufficient rooms with good A/C and bathrooms (and even a kitchen!) One small caveat was that the Wi-Fi did not work in our rooms and only worked in the main restaurant, but besides that, cannot complain! Our main goals were to study birds, medicinal plants, and hopefully see some howler monkeys as part of a school trip, and we were not disappointed with the array of wildlife seen just around the resort!
The staff were all very helpful and accommodated our needs well, especially as some of our group members had dietary restrictions and allergies. The adjacent restaurant served delicious food and wonderful fresh juices every day.
I would highly recommend this resort to anyone willing to travel outside of Belize City, as it offered a great place to relax and take in nature without losing modern comforts.
Juntos was excellent, much better than I had expected. I traveled as part of a school trip over spring break and must say that the views were spectacular. We saw so many exotic birds without much effort and were even greeted by howler monkeys when we first arrived. We did not need to leave the grounds of Juntos to see an abundant array of wildlife. The area was quiet and very relaxing. The pool was warm and had a wonderful view overlooking the grounds and a beautiful landscape in the distance. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our needs. The food was excellent and consisted of the freshest foods and juices I've ever had. The rooms were the perfect size for what we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Belize for a relaxing getaway.
This was a beautiful resort with a surprising amount of birds. I was surprised to see so many different types, to include toucans! The staff was friendly, the resort was clean, the A/C worked wonderfully and the showers are great! The rooms also come with a small kitchenette which can help you save money on food or to just store snacks and make coffee and tea.
Gorgeous area. We were hoping to see howler monkeys at some point in our trip and were surprised that we heard and saw them roght as we got to the resort. Rooms were clean, AC was cold, showers were just right. Food was great, new types of juices every meal. Surrounding area was beautiful. Will definitely want to stay here again.
If you need lots of beds and a kitchenette, then this hotel is good. To access it, you need to drive one mile on an unpaved road. The path to drive up to the cottages from the hotel office is very narrow, with bushes that may scratch the sides of your car. We had cottages 13 and 14, which have a kitchen/sofa area in between. Cottage 13 had a king bed and a small shower with massage nozzles. Cottage 14 had 3 twin beds and a larger tile shower. The kitchenette had a mini-fridge and two stovetop burners, however there was no oven, no microwave, no toaster, no coffeemaker. The only appliance was an electric teakettle. Small pans were provided, but no kitchen tools. No spatula, no bottle opener, no serving trays. There were salt and pepper shakers, tea bags, sweetness, and cappuccino mix. There is air conditioning.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautifully landscaped. There is a well-maintained pool. The WiFi only works at the Juntos conference center building.
The village of Teakettle has no amenities. You must be able to drive to Belmopan city for groceries at James Brodie’s and a good produce market next to it. That being said, this location was useful to access the Xunantunich Mayan ruin sites to the west (about an hour), as well as the cave-tubing to the east at the Nohoch Che’en Cave (about 30 minutes). There are armed security officers patrolling the property at night, making you feel safe.
We thought we were 100% prepaid for the hotel stay and taxes through Expedia, but there is a 10% resort fee they only disclose in fine print on the guest check-in form, but no one from the hotel staff verbally mentions it and none of the online travel sites disclose it either.
Considering that Belmopan and San Ignacio are very humble cities, if you don’t want to spend a huge fortune at one of the luxury rainforest hotels, than the simple cottages at Juntos are a decent option.
We only stayed at Juntos for one night because we had an early flight and needed something closer to the airport. We were so surprised at how how nice the property and the rooms were. They friendly staff greeted us with fresh juice and upgraded are room too. The pool was so refreshing and had an incredible view over looking a river. If staying here I would certainly rent a car so you can get out and see more of Belize unless you just want to unwind and relax. We were pleasantly surprised and will certainly stay here again when we return to Belize.
Our stay at Juntos was amazing, we highly recommend Juntos Cottages to everyone. The unit was spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent, diverse and we never had to leave the table hungry. After the satisfying lunch/ dinner we enjoyed the pool, went on adventures or just relaxed in our room.
Belize is an amazing country where you can go on various tours and adventures.
One of our favorite trip was to the mayan ruines Xunantunich. A piece of ancient history and a beautiful view from the top of the ruin.
We also recommend to go to the caves either with the ATM tour or by cavetubing. Cavetubing is a great experience if you go to Belize with your family and anyone can do it.
If you are more into action you should go ziplining. You go through the jungle so while you have action ziplining you can enjoy the jungle.
Carmen at the frontdeskt was very friendly and helpful when it came to organizing a trip/tour. So if you need inspiration just ask her for help.
We would also like to thank Kim (housekeeper) to keep our room clean and to wait until we are outside so she won't disturb us.
Last but not least thank you to the manager Lucy to offer us a thrilling and at the same time relaxing stay.
We will certainly come back again to enjoy and explore Belize with you and your team.
We don't really have anything negative to say just that it was raining when we did the ziplining but it was still a lot of fun and the rain kept the mosquitos away
Hands down one of my favorite places in the world! The scenery was beautiful, the cottages were very nice and the staff were beyond courteous and willing to go out of their way to assist with sight seeing. The food was also fantastic. I definitely plan on visiting again in the future.
During the stay at Juntos Cottages Resort I have experienced the serenity of nature and the delicacy of the food in this lovely country. But the best part of it is that you would wake up and enjoy the fresh air and view on your veranda. I would like to thank the wonderful staff once more for my memorable stay.
I spent a week at Juntos for a family get away! It definitely was an amazing time! . The food is delicious, the pools are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. The staff is very welcoming! It is connected to their sister resort Dream Valley which is only maybe a 10 min walk away where they have the restaurant and other amenities, which we were able to use. The cottages are very family friendly and well equipped. Only downfall is the WiFi at Juntos isn’t as strong as when your sitting at the restaurant in Dream Valley, but i must say it allowed the kids and all of us to reconnect without technology getting in the way. The kids were able to play out doors like kids again. It was very nice, and a breath of fresh air. We will definitely be back for another family vacation! Also they offer a lot of excursions. We chose to go horse back riding, and tubing. Both experiences were great! Lots of great memories!
We spent 5 nights at Juntos cottages. We love it here. Birds singing and howler monkeys in the distance. Expansive view of the jungle....from the porch of your secluded hideaway. Miss Lucy and Carman made our stay complete. They bent over backwards to help us find what we needed.
