Perfect couple of nights friendly staff good food perfect location
really nice place to stay. staff very friendly and good value when compared to sister hotel ideal rocks. Only recommendation is to get new pillow as the ones they have lost shape and are tired.
The room was amazing from comfort, decor, great bathroom and sea view was awesome
The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and competitively priced with other restaurants in the location.
Position wise it could not be beaten close to everything
Excellent hotel: standards, decor, quality of furnishings very pleasing. Comfort of bed and bedding excellent. Meal excellent and served in beautiful second floor lounge.
Only reservation was lack of air con in a hot room and, unfortunately, we were above the recycling room where the evenings bar bottles were dumped - after time was called.
However, would definitely stay again - central and certainly offered a ‘taste of the Idol rocks’.
All the staff were Amazing and so helpful. Food was lovely, the service was excellent.
Clean.. pretty. Great views. Comfortable. Very good food. Super friendly.
Everything about our stay was amazing and we will definitely go back . The staff , the food , the rooms and especially the view surpassed our expectations . Beautiful location with staff who could not do more .
Lovely welcoming atmosphere with very friendly helpful staff
Went to check in at the bar, was taken to the unmanned reception then forgotten about. Stayed on two occasions and happened both times. It seemed staff were more focussed on bar customers than staying ones. Staff got dinner booking times wrong twice and failed to inform me about the option for a larger cooked breakfast at Idle Rocks. Room was lovely and got an upgrade which was appreciated. The heated towel rail was great for drying clothes off after walks in the rain. Suitable for independent travellers who don't require much service.
Very comfortable and friendly staff. Great breakfast!
Amazing. Beautifully designed, great location & so laid back. Food fabulous. I wish we could have stayed for longer. Staff friendly. Highly recommended.
very comfortable room, staff turned down the bed every day, with in easy walk to tourist facilities and cafes retaurants
We had the most lovely welcoming stay at St Mawes hotel, 2 super rooms. A beautifully casual, in a good way, place to stay. Very helpful staff.
We spent two days at The St Mawes Hotel in July over weekdays. It is a lovely, boutique hotel, comfortable and clean with great views over the harbour. It is, however, overpriced for what you get. Our room was lovely, overlooking the sea, but didn't have the amenities you would expect from a hotel costing £250/night. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional, the staff weren't rude, but fairly unenthusiastic and a bit absent! Rooms need aircon - it wasn't even that hot when we were there and we were boiling in the night.
We had dinner at the sister hotel, The Idle Rocks, where the staff were much better, and the food was delicious.
