Cons:

It had safety issues for the guests. A mirror on a tripod was set by the entrance to the elevator. When one of the legs of the tripod was caught by the wheel of my carryon, and the tripod felt down braking the mirror, I was made pay for the damage/loss. If that had happened in a hotel in US I would have been reimbursed the cost for the room, and I would have been received apologies for facing a safety hazard. Another safety hazard is the step in front of the elevator, which is not being marked, and is hardly being noticeable. It is obvious there is no concern for the safety of the guests in that hotel.

We were a group of six and chose this 4-star hotel with high expectations, especially for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and far from what is expected from a hotel of this standard.

From the moment we arrived, several issues were noticeable. The rooms were not clean: the mirrors were dirty and the carpets were stained and covered with many marks.

Communication with the staff was very difficult throughout our stay. Most of the employees did not speak English, except for the receptionist, and many of them were not polite. This is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel welcoming international guests.

The worst experience occurred on the evening of December 31st. We went to the hotel restaurant at 8:15 p.m. with the intention of having dinner before going out to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The restaurant had only four tables. Despite this, we waited 20 minutes just to receive our drinks, while other tables were already being served.

The situation became even more unacceptable when our food was finally served at 10:45 p.m., after a waiting time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a group of singers arrived at 9:30 p.m. and were served within five minutes, both drinks and food, while we were still waiting for our meals.

In addition, the waitress did not speak a single word of English, which is completely unacceptable in a hotel of this category. The bar closed at 10:00 p.m., meaning we could no longer order any drinks, even though we had not yet received our food. We ended up being the last guests left in the restaurant.

Finally, breakfast was very limited and poorly organized. Only one staff member was present, and once again, this person did not speak English.

Overall, despite the hotel’s 4-star rating and the positive reviews we had read, the reality was extremely disappointing and did not meet our expectations at all.

Pros:

Хотелът като цяло ни хареса и бихме го препоръчали. Стаята беше комфортна. Локацията е добра и удобна, има близо спирка на трамвай и лесно се стига до центъра на града. Момчетата на рецепция и в ресторанта бяха много любезни и отзивчиви.
