Excellent hotel in the center of Mirissa.
Pros:

The property is close to the beach and really - to everything. Very good location. In the same time it's a bit off from the main road that makes it a quiet place. The breakfast took a bit time but that is usual in Sri Lanka but it was very nicely served and really tasty.

Cons:

The pool scratched the feet of our kids a little bit but nothing too serious.

Pros:

Grote kamer, met grote badkamer en ruim balkon. De ligging is perfect, rustig, maar een klein stukje lopen naar het strand en restaurantjes. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk ontbijt.

Pros:

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The highlight for me was definitely the massive swimming pool—it was clean, spacious, and the perfect place to relax. The hotel itself was top-notch, with great service and a very welcoming atmosphere.

Wyjątkowy hotel w miejscowości Mirissa. Bardzo ładne , duże pokoje z wielkim balkonem i widokiem na basen. Personel przemiły, gotowy spełnić każdą prośbę. Blisko do głównej plaży. Śniadania bardzo dobre. Hotel zdecydowanie wyróżnią się na tle innych oferowanych w tej miejscowość.

Great for what we wanted.
Pros:

Great location for Marissa beach which is a fabulous beach check out the three wooden covered beds on the right hand side as you join the beach.
Easy walk to lots of restaurants and bars and shops.
The pool is clean and very quiet although we didn’t use it.
Bed was comfortable and good sized room with balcony. The lift was very useful.

Cons:

Shame the mini fridge in the room didn’t have some stock in it. You could ask the staff to bring you drinks to the room if you wanted though so not too inconvenient or you could purchase from a local store. It was nice to sit on the balcony before going out for dinner in the evening.

Great family stay Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere for kids and adults. Everything was well organized and we truly enjoyed our time. Highly recommended for families.

A warm welcome and a fab breakfast
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Ballena Regency in Jan 2026. We were there as a family with our 3yo and parents. The staff were really welcoming ,friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we saw some great Birdlife from our 3rd floor balcony. The Sri Lankan breakfast was great,with a range of curries, roti, fruit, hoppers and more. We also ate dinner there one evening and had the best pineapple curry. A lovely pool and all round great place to stay.

Cons:

The location was good, only 5 mins from the beach, but it was a little tricky to find and there wasn't great access for our van. But our driver managed fine, so maybe its not much of a problem!
