Lovely experience
Pros:

The hotel was in a gorgeous place with the Rhur on one side and woodland all around the others.
The staff could not do enough for us and were fantastic.
The breakfast was varied and beautifully presented and the restaurant was fine dining.

Great location for a relaxing trip.
Pros:

First time staying here. Wonderful location next to the lake. Excellent breakfast. Bathroom was a little small ...maybe other rooms have a bit more space. Would defintely return.

Pros:

Ideal für Radler die den Ruhrtalweg abfahren. Man kann hier einen schönen Stopp mit Besuch der Villa Hügel planen. Idillische Lage.

Schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem Restaurant
Pros:

Schönes Hotel direkt am Baldeneysee. Gut zu erreichen vor allem auch mit der S-Bahn, deren Bahnhof ganz in der Nähe ist. Kleine Zimmer und Bäder. Sehr gutes Restaurant. Tolles Frühstück für nur 10,- €

Hotel war OK, Frühstück sehr gut, allerdings Kopfkissen viel zu dick und Bettdecke zu warm für die Jahreszeit, würde wieder dort übernachten, allerdings würde ich mir vorher die "Bettzutaten" genau ansehen

My favourite place to stay in Essen!
Pros:

Beautiful location, great restaurant, lovely people and service and very comfortable bed!!The service really gave you the feel you were staying in a high class establishment.

Minizimmer mit viel zu teurem Frühstück
Pros:

Zimmer war sehr klein, das Badezimmer hatte kaum mehr als 2 qm. Frühstück für € 13,00 total überteuert, gleiche Qualität gab es in anderen Hotels für € 6,00.

Pros:

Der Service und die Lage des Hotels sind perfekt. Die Zimmer sind pragmatisch aber ausreichend ausgestattet. Leider roch es sehr stark nach dem Putzmittel, deshalb Punktabzug. Das Frühstück und der Frühstücksservice waren gut.
Die Innenstadt und Messe sind in wenigen Autominuten gut zu erreichen. Interessant war die Geschichte des Hotels.
