Everything
This hotel will always be very special to me. It’s heaven on earth. The views are magnificent. I love breakfast and the pool restaurant. Our room was very spacious and we loved it. It’s literally perfection.
View and location and people work there
We like everything there
A historic palazzo between sky and sea, famed for its floating infinity pool, fragrant gardens, and impeccable service romance perfected on the Amalfi Coast.
Highly recommend. Amazing location and the staff made us feel like family.
Food was incredible and can’t wait to return
Wonderful Staff at Caruso. The staff made our stay very special.
Such a treat to finally return to Ravello and spend a few nights at the Caruso. The view is spectacular! Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the festive pizza making party on Friday evening.
Es un lugar maravilloso único especial cada persona es una atención especial la verdad me enamore de ese lugar de cada persona tan maravillosa todo es hermoso
If you are booking a stay or planning to visit the Caruso, I’d imagine your expectations are already starting at a pretty high level. Believe me when I say, the hospitality and dedication to your enjoyment while at the Caruso will undoubtable far exceed whatever it is you may be imagining awaits.
The Vistas: Photos do not do justice to physically being there. The view from just about every corner of the property (especially at the pool) is so inconceivably breathtaking that if they chose to provide the bare minimum of services, you wouldn’t blame them nor mind because it is just that awe inspiring.
The Service: However, “rest on their laurels” they do not. From the moment we arrived, every single individual we encountered treated us as if we had been traveling with them for years. Attentive and accommodating, never overbearing. I genuinely thought for a moment that perhaps they had mistaken me for some kind of foreign dignitary. But no, they are just. That. Good.
The Food: Traveling in Italy, you don’t expect the food to just be good, you expect it to be great, and in some cases life altering. For the most part, across our trip up and down the coast, eventually making our way north to Florence, the food was very much “great.” However, one of the few instances to approach “life altering” occurred here at our lunch. The freshest sea food, pasta and unexpectedly the most remarkable fresh fruit I’ve ever tasted. It was the simplest thing, a strawberry, divided and filled with what I believe was a sorbet. It propelled me back through time, to memories of eating strawberry ice cream with my grandmother. Outstanding.
Overall Impression: Anytime spent in Ravello is likely to be a highlight of your trip. But time spent at the Caruso elevates your experience to the point of potentially becoming a highlight of your life.
A sincere thank you to the entire team, we hope to return soon.
The Hotel Caruso is pure magic — perched above Ravello with dreamlike views and timeless elegance. Our room was beautiful and serene, and breakfasts were truly exceptional. But what makes this place unforgettable is the staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. A rare blend of luxury and heart. Can’t wait to return!
The setting is gorgeous, the views are breathtaking, and the hotel is beautiful—but what truly makes Hotel Caruso special is the people.
From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel like family. Antoinetta at the front desk went above and beyond, helping with everything from questions, bookings, changing tours and even ice for an injury. Josie was equally kind and welcoming.
The food at Caruso was our favorite of the entire Italy trip, even compared to the Michelin restaurants we tried. We loved the bar menu most, followed by the Grille. The bar became our favorite place to relax—Carmine greeted us each evening with the warmest smile and made every night fun. Tommaso, the manager, was wonderful too (his special gimlet is a 10/10!).
And of course, Luigi, the doorman, greeted us every day with genuine warmth and charm.
Caruso is so much more than a beautiful hotel—the staff and their thoughtful touches make the experience truly unforgettable.
The staff were lovely and made the experience even more special. A must-visit! While staying at the hotel, we discovered the boutique and were amazed, we found the most comfortable and stylish shoes ever!
From the moment I arrived, I felt embraced by grace. Everything flowed effortlessly — the smiles, the warmth, the calm beauty in every corner. Belmond is not just a hotel; it’s a feeling of belonging, of being genuinely cared for.
My heartfelt thanks to General Manager Iolanda Mansi and her wonderful team for making every moment unforgettable. There was serenity in the details, emotion in the view, and soul in every gesture. I left feeling grateful — and already longing to return.
One of the great hotels of the world
Very expensive
From the moment we checked in Rosie the concierge was very welcoming. She assigned Elise to give us a tour of the hotel and the spectacular upgrade to an oceanfront suite.
The hotel was built near the foundations of an 11th century Palazzo. My suite was a partial archaeological monument the master suite encompassed some of the original walls and the brick dome.
Everything you want is at hand with leather covered Espresso machines and hot water kettle!
Piero the porter was careful in bringing up the suitcases, up the stairs to the separate master’s suite.
The hotel was also exceptionally meticulous in receiving.my clothing purchases in Italy which were waiting at the Hotel for me.
Every morning the included buffet breakfast was spectacular. Starting with fresh seasonal berries and eggs of your choice. The Caruso version of an eggs Benedict was delicious. Prawn omelette with caviar was also excellent. Fresh squeezed juices were abundant. The view from the breakfast area of the Amalfi coast and the waterfront villages are unforgettable.
I followed breakast at 9 am with a 20 minute swim in the infinity pool. Swimming with view of parallel mountain tops or looking over the edge at the villages and the coast is unique. Marco the pool attendant was alway ready with a towel and a bottle of sparkling water (my preference) the pool water was 28 degrees Centigrade to 24 degrees when it was very windy. Very comfortable for lap swimming.
Bravo Hotel Caruso. Hope to visit again!
This boat day was a birthday surprise, and it turned out to be one of the best days of my life. The Aprea was immaculate and felt brand new, but what truly made the experience unforgettable were our captains, Francesco and Antonio.
They went above and beyond in every way — from taking beautiful photos for us, to showing us hidden coves and the most picturesque spots along the coast, to serving wine, champagne, and the most gorgeous plates of fresh fruit, cheeses, and prosciutto. They even brought us to a hidden gem, Maria Grazia, for an incredible seaside lunch that we’ll never forget.
Francesco and Antonio were the perfect hosts: true gentlemen, thoughtful, kind, and so knowledgeable about the area. Their attention to detail and care made us feel like royalty.
If you have the chance to book the Aprea, don’t hesitate. It was pure magic — the kind of day you dream about, and one I will treasure forever.
(Note: This review is just for the boat experience. I’ll be sharing a separate review on the hotel soon.)
