Breakfast was great. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Hotel was reasonably quiet and the AC very quick to react to temperature setting changes. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and responded to any requests or questions. The fitness centre had the basics in good working order. Many TV channels via Direct TV and the WiFi worked well and seemed fast.
On the surface the hotel looked clean. But a closer inspection reveals a serious lack of attention to details. For example: my room was not thoroughly vacuumed, the hand soap container was empty, the tub did not have soap (but did have 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner) the hand sanitizer was empty in the fitness centre nor were there supplies to clean the equipment after use, the toilet in the restroom near the fitness centre had a ring around the water level. The stairway was not vacuumed for the 3 days I was there. Overall, I feel that the cleaners rush, do not pay attention to details, and there is no oversight. All which is something that I would expect from a Holiday Inn.

I have celiac so the only item I could eat was the yogurt. Coffee was good. We were in Columbia City for my uncle's funeral and there really are not a lot of hotel choices. I will NOT return, even if I have to drive to Fort Wayne.
This is actually the second time we stayed there and both times the place was dirty. Hair in the corners of the bathroom, the bathroom had dried dirty mop water, the sink spicket was dirty. The lobby area needs a good deep cleaning.

You only make up the room every 2 days, but there are NO towel racks or other place to hang wet towels. Either make up the room every day, or install towel racks. There was space in the bathroom for towel racks. The first room we checked into had not been made up at all and it was in the evening. For the second room, Housekeeping left us with 1/2 tool of toilet paper and 3 Kleenex in the box. There were no sheets or pillow for the roll-out bed, even thought I reserved for three adults. I had to go to the desk to get all these things.
Location was fine. Breakfast was poor! Coffee was too strong, eggs were very poor, try real eggs, not reconstuted!!

Dirty, unhelpful staff on a weird conference call on speaker phone during our check in, staff person did not say one word to us, gave us key to a dirty room. Entire premises were dirty, such as elevator
Hotel wasn't clean, downstairs bathrooms we a mess and smelled, then went up to the room to check and room was dirty, bathroom floor wasn't clean & stuff was all over sink. We put room key on the front desk and left to get another place. - didn't use the room or stay the night!
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The location was close to restaurants and shopping.
There was no in room coffee. I could not control the split unit with either the unit controls or the thermostat, the room was 64 degrees, ITV, the batteries were fine and worked on every other function from far away. The tiles in the showers need replacing.

If anything it would be nice to have coffee maker in the room. There was a sign that said it was available in the lobby 24 7 but was told by the clerk no coffee til the morning.

Rude staff, dirty pool, no ice machine on any floor but the first floor, no coffee in room, room not cleaned for second night, non functional tvs, tired and mismatched furniture.
I should have read reviews before I booked, but had never had problems with a Holiday Inn before. Rude checkin lady, no coffee in rooms, no ice machine except on main floor, rooms not cleaned for second night stay, old and mismatched furniture. dirty pool, and non functional tvs . My son had to move twice to get a working tv in his room. We stay at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham, Michigan all the time. It's excellent. Holiday Inn corporate management should look into this facility. It's damaging the chain's reputation.

Loud room from traffic outside. Very musty smell inside room. No ice in entire hotel. Very dated hotel atmosphere. Bathroom near laundry room filthy with no paper towels nor dryer. Poor value for small town Indiana. Location convenient. Blinds had holes.
Shiva was the best host. Very reliable and will be back
