Inakzeptable Kommunikation und nicht empfehlenswert

Die Lage und das Zimmer

Cons:

Die Rezeption war nicht besetzt. Das Telefon wurde nicht abgenommen und es gab nicht einmal einen Anrufbeantworter. D.h. wir standen am 15.9.2025 zwischen rd. 16.00 und 17.00 vor verschlossenen Türen. Erst durch andere Gäste erfuhren wir wo die Zimmerschlüssel platziert waren. Das Frühstück war gut, wurde aber im Dorfladen ein paar Hundert Meter weiter serviert. Und das alles ohne vorherige Kommunikation. Des Weiteren gab es keine Fahrradunterbringung mit Lademöglichkeit. Und das am Jagstradweg. Insgesamt keine ausreichende Kommunikation im Vorfeld und nicht zu empfehlen.

Pros:

Ich war in der Vorburg untergebracht, die Zimmer waren sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Bilder von alten Theaterkostümen an den Wänden passten sehr gut in die Inneneinrichtung.. Das Bad war zeitgemäß, spezielle Armaturen und Waschbecken von Devon&Devon bieten dennoch ein Retrogefühl -super. Eine kleine Kochecke mit Kühlschrank runden den Komfort ab.

Das Bett war prima und nicht zu weich und durchgelegen wie so oft.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, dass Frühstück sowohl im Bürgerladen als auch in der Burg einnehmen zu dürfen, beides war gut und reichlich. Der Service war auch beide Male super. Im Dorfladen konnte ich den Dorfcharme aufnehmen. In der Burg war der Ausblick und das Ambiente super. Ich möchte beides nicht missen.

Der Service in der Burg durch Frau Krieger war sehr gut. Infos zu Ausflügen und auch eine kompetente Einführung zur Burg waren sehr interessant.

Insgesamt ein schönes Erlebnis.

An amazing castle hotel in a beautiful town.
Pros:

To spend time in a castle with so much history is an amazing experience. The setting is so beautiful and our stay was perfect. I enjoyed looking at every detail of the architecture, furnishings, and antiques. The nearby restaurant, Schloss, was superb.

Cons:

Well, nothing comes to mind, but we missed dining in the restaurant inside the castle. However, the excellence of the nearby restaurant operated by the castle family was also special to us.
