Quite satisfactory
Pros:

They didn’t advertise in they ad that they had free parking. Nice location next to tye abbey. Lovely view.

Cons:

Window didn’t open properly on the outside due to rot but the window was secondary glazed. No problem.

We have had better stays at The George Inn
Pros:

Such a great location, the staff are always so friendly and helpful

Cons:

I have stayed here a few times now but this time I feel the stay was let down by a few things. The room was not that clean and needs some redecorating. Looking a little run down. Previously we have paid a better rate which included breakfast. I did ask when booking for the same room we had before and I know these are not guaranteed I was a little disappointed.

Handy stay with family

Needs revamp but okay
Pros:

Free parking, convenient location and friendly/helpful staff

Cons:

Room 11 in serious need to redecorating, marks on the wall from previous water leaks and over all very dated décor in all communal areas
Lighting left a lot to be desired, very dark in some areas of room

BEWARE : CHARGE YOU FOR BREAKFAST AND TELL YOU NO BREAKFAST ON ARRIVAL & NO REFUND !

WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE EVER AGAIN :
Breakfast, What Breakfast ?
We paid for 2 Breakfast's with our stay.
On checking in we were told there would be no breakfast because they had no kitchen staff anymore.
When we asked how we got refunded the hotel staff member said ask Booking.com.
So we phoned Booking.com and they told us they would contact the hotel and we had to wait 48hrs for a reply.
We called Booking.com back several times chasing it, just to be told were still waiting for clarification from the Hotel.
We also phoned the Hotel several times and they lied saying they told Booking.com, and they hadn't.
Basically the hotel is keeping the money and Booking.com would refund us, Shocking on both sides !
ROOM :
Room Dated, Dirty and Uncomfortable. Spring protruding out the sides of the mattress.
Shower absolutely rubbish.
STAFF :
Unhelpful and tell lies

Pros:

Great location in the middle of the centre. The nearby abbey's clocks didn't keep my awake as I had been afraid for. Friendly staff gave good recommendation for dinner, that they didn't serve unfortunately

Cons:

Just the fact thay no dinner or breakfast was being served, had a great stay otherwise
